Milwaukee police are looking for a 17-year-old Hispanic male suspect in connection with the double homicide of two male teens ages 15 and 16, and the shooting of a 14-year-old girl in the Southside.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, a Latino community activist released the identity and photo of the alleged 17-year-old Hispanic male suspect being sought by Milwaukee police in connection with the double homicide of Isaac Rodriguez-Duarte, 15, and Deigo Francisco Herrera-Mejia, 16, at the 900 block of W. Manitoba Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee. The activist's name was included when the article was published by permission, but then the known Latino activist decided to recind the permission to identity him, which Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) will grant.
Herrera-Mejia's cousin, Emily Rocha, 14, was shot in the thigh and was treated for her non-life threatening injury.
A 16-year-old Hispanic male suspect was taken into custody on Saturday, June 15, 2024 in connection with the triple shooting, resulting in two homicides.
The 16-year-old suspect is being detained at the Milwaukee County juvenile detention center, pending criminal charges.
17-year-old Moses Martinez is being sought by police in connection with the Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia homicides.
One of the deceased victim's family member alleged that Martinez was the homicide suspect that fatally shot both Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia.
Videos released to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) by a source who wants to stay anonymous shows Rodriguez and Herrera-Mejia who was celebrating his 16th birthday walking along the sidewalk at the 900 block of W. Manitoba Ave. with a group of teens from a nearby family birthday party, then the teens can be seen running back and one of the homicide victims attempted to escape from getting shot, but fell over when struck by gunfire as other teens come to his aid and multiple young children could also be seen running for their lives in the video.
The 16-year-old male suspect and Martinez, 17, were riding in an electric scooter when they had a brief argument and confrontation with victims. The suspects then fled in the electric scooter after the shooting.
