Grafton, WI - The FBI, the Food and Drug Administration and the Grafton Police Department in Wisconsin are investigating an intentional tampering of at least 570 doses (57 vials, each holds 10 doses) of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine by a Pharmacist at the Aurora Hospital (Aurora Medical Center) in Grafton.
The male Pharmacist has not been identified, but has been terminated, according to the hospital administration after learning that the incident occurred on two occasions December 24 and 25th and the Pharmacist confessing that he intentionally removed the vials from the refrigerator and left the COVID-19 vials of the vaccine at room temperature over night.
Each COVID-19 vial holds 10 vaccine shots.
The vaccine must be kept frozen in a refrigerator and once thawed, it can not be frozen again.
The COVID-19 vaccine lasts for at least 12 hours in room temperature.
So far, no charges have been filed against the Pharmacist, but he was taken into custody pending charges.
