Monterrey Zeta Leader Captured By Mexican Army

Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico (HNNUSA) - On Tuesday, the Mexican army captured Hector Raúl Luna Luna, 28, aka "El Tory" leader of the Zeta Cartel in the City of Monterrey. Luna is suspected in taking part in the attack of the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey on October 12, 2008, according to Edgar Luis Villegas Meléndez, Assistant Chief of Major Operations from the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena).
Luna was arrested along with David Eduardo Fuente Martinez, aka "El Chile" or "El Mantequilla." Luna is originally from Generál Terán and known Zeta leader in the State of Nuevo Leon.
Meléndez said, Luna confessed that he received orders to attack with grenades the U.S. Consulate from Sigifredo Nájera Talamantes, aka "El Canicón" who was arrested on March 20, 2009. Luna is accused of murdering military personal and conducting attacks on military installations, attacks on Nuevo Leon state police, drug trafficking and numerous other crimes.
