Protesters Stormed The St. Louis Police Metro Station And Served An Eviction Notice

Dozens of people stormed into the St. Louis Police Metro Station to serve an eviction notice.

December 31, 2014

St. Louis, Missouri - On Wednesday, dozens of people from Ferguson stormed into a St. Louis Metropolitan Police District Station, 1915 Olive Street to serve a people's eviction and demanding the immediate termination of Police Chief Sam Dotson and other police officers. The people went into the police station around 11:00 a.m. and were met by police who kept the protesters from storming into the police station.
Police are being accused of committing police brutally against citizens and a lack of transparency in the department.
A video of the incident was posted on Vine, link at https://t.co/Udj1dRBCGs

A statement was released by organizers of Storm The St. Louis P.D., "The decision to reclaim our police department is the result of willful neglect and violence on behalf of the department toward the community, which they are bound, by oath, to protect and serve. Violations include: Committing crimes against humanity, by ending the life of men, women, and children, and then labeling these executions as "justified" without regard for your humanity, and without thorough investigation. Hiring officers, who are unfit to wear a badge, like Randy Hayes, a known animal torturer, and Jason Flannery, who publicly declared he wanted to "shoot Muslims." Both these men shot and killed two members of our community and have not been held accountable for these egregious actions, but rather have been protected behind a blue shield. Despite thousands marching in the streets; despite our community having to sue our own police department to stop the use of tear gas and rubber bullets; despite urgent demands for broad and substantive reforms, our cries have been ignored. For all these reasons, we intend to occupy St. Louis Police Headquarters as part of our New Year's resolution to take back our Justice System, and in doing so reclaiming the promise of our future."

Rally And Vigil Planned For Deported U.S. Veterans And Mothers Of DREAMers

Rallies, a march and vigils for deported U.S. Veterans and mothers of DREAMers scheduled for Tuesday at the Washington, D.C. National Monument and outside of the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana.

Washington, D.C. - On Tuesday, several rallies, a march and vigils for deported U.S. Veterans and Moms of DREAMers will take place at the Washington, D.C. National Monument and outside of the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, the Deported Veterans Support House (DVSH) announced. A march will follow from the Washington, D.C. National Monument to the White House. The DVSH in a news release stated, that on Tuesday, January 6th, veterans of the U.S. military, their supporters, families and communities will hold a vigil in Washington D.C. & U.S. Consulate in Tijuana calling on President Barack H. Obama to end the policy of deporting U.S. Veterans who have served the country faithfully and to bring home the U.S. Veterans and the mothers of DREAMers that have already been deported. DREAMers Moms are women who have American born children that are deported to various countries.
Under the 1996 former President Bill Clinton deportation law, Veterans were forced across the border and exiled around the world. Some of the deported Veterans who earned medical benefits had their benefits terminated illegally or were never applied when they were deported by the U.S. government. Many deported Veterans were injured and today continue to suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as experiencing homelessness and lack of no medical care by the U.S. Veterans Administration (VA). Only upon death are deported Veterans allowed to return to the U.S. with full military Honors.
Today, deported Veterans are required by the VA to be present in the U.S. to applied or be considered for medical benefits, making it impossible for deported Veterans to applied or schedule an appointment. The VA was recently exposed for denying Veterans care and lack of accountability for its failure to provide timely care for Veterans in a waiting list. Also hundreds of Veterans seeking medical care were never added to the waiting list and had to wait for years to get help.
"Our nation's dedicated servicemen have been separated from their children and families. We request President Obama to pardon them with a stroke of a pen under a presidential executive order," the DVSH stated.
DREAMers Moms U.S.A. will join the march since many mothers and children have been left alone without one or both parents. There are many U.S. born children living outside the United States as deportees with their deported parents. Many of these children live in shelters under extreme harsh and poor conditions. Many of these mothers have no criminal record. Their only crime was to seek a better life. Susana Sandoval will give testimony about her plight. An estimated five million children are suffering because of family separation.

The Washington, D.C. National Monument rally will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

City of Milwaukee To Seize Esperanza Unida 611 W. National Building By Monday

Esperanza Unida, Inc. ownership will end by next Monday when the City of Milwaukee will take ownership of title for the 611 W. National Ave. building for tax delinquency totaling more that $176K.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 30, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - The City of Milwaukee by next Monday will take ownership of title for the Esperanza Unida, Inc. 611 W. National Ave. building on a foreclosure legal action for more than $176K in tax delinquency property seizure. The city will actually own the 611 building at a cheap cost for tax delinquency, since the building is accessed at nearly $2M.
The current tenants at the building will have to make arrangements with the city to temperarily stay at the location, but most likely they would have to vacate the building to avoid additional costs to maintain the building in operation.
On Monday, the City Treasurer's Office confirmed that there no effort by the Esperanza Unida Board to pay the delinquent taxes by November 19 and is confident that the city will take ownership of the building after a judge rules on Monday that the city can legally seize the property.
Meanwhile, WE Energies had agreed to keep the light flowing at the 611 W. National Ave. building through December while the city attempted to foreclose the property for tax delinquency. According to the Milwaukee Department of Development, a foreclosure was filed in a Milwaukee County court to take ownership of the 611 building for tax delinquency. The Esperanza Unida had until November 19 to pay over $176,771.60 in property taxes in order to keep the building, which has more than $600,000 in bank liens.
The 611 property is assessed at $1,948,000, but owes delinquent taxes for 2013, $66,556.24; for 2012, $64,103.63 and for 2011, $46,111.73, a total of $176,771.60, plus incurring tax delinquent penalties per month.
Currently, Esperanza Unida owes about $180,000 to WE Energies, which the company had threaten to cut the power off, if it doesn't get paid. An agreement between the city and We Energies was reached and the power at Esperanza Unida 611 building will be kept on until Wednesday. The city will take up the monthly bill of nearly $5,000 in electricity cost and the remaining balance will be held by WE Energies until it is determine who will actually own the building or take a loss.
The city will have to continue to pay nearly $3,000 to $4,000 per month to keep the power on until it sells the building due to the ongoing water pump system.
The city learned that if the power is shut off at the 611 building, a catastrophic chain reaction would erupt that could damage the foundation of the building and most likely destroy the foundation wall facing S. 6th Street causing severe damage, flooding and sewage backup in the immediate area, according to Manuel "Manny" Pérez, the executive director of Esperanza Unida, Inc.
The 611 building has a water flow of 5,000 gallons with at least 2,000 of psi water pressure to operate the fire sprinkle system. It would take at least two months to actually drain all the water in the system, if the city decides to shut down the building after it gets possession of the property or it would continue to pay WE Energies to keep the water system operating at the building until it is sold.
In the last year or so, the community and city hall, including the Mayor Tom Barrett's office have failed to backup or support Esperanza Unida it's financial deficit dilemma. Mayor Barrett and the city have a partnership with Esperanza Unida, but when the organization asked for help, Barrett and the city turned their back on the organization.
Esperanza Unida under the late former Richard Oulahan and predecessors have made the non-profit organization a success. The organization provided job training programs that helped thousands of low income and unskilled community residents to learn a trade and who later became productive and tax paying citizens in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. Esperanza Unida also worked with other organizations to expand on their initiatives geared for job and technical skill training. Today, none of those that have actually benefited in one way or other from the fruits of Esperanza Unida have stepped up to help the ailing organization.
Currently under the Pérez administration at Esperanza Unida, the 611 building has been upgraded to make it a competitive real estate business property in the district, even though a lack of development has been absent in the area. Five businesses are at the 611 location, Reynas Entertainment and Mexican Restaurant, SWC Asbestos, El Sol Broadcasting, VIVA Health Care and a new business, Staffing Partners, a temperary branch employment agency managed by Andrés Guzmán. Guzmán says, the employment agency move at the location last month.
The BMO Harris Bank (formerly Marshall & Ilsley Bank) holds several liens on the building for more than $600,000. An Oshkosh developer has offered to pay $1.3M for the building and turn it into a 55-unit loft apartments, but that deal seems to be at a dead end and to no avail for Esperanza Unida.
In brief, Oulahan took out several real estate mortgages in 1994 totalling $600,000 ($600K) in loans from Marshall & Ilsley Bank (M&I, now BMO Harris Bank) without a Board Chair signature. Pérez has confirmed that there is no record on file about what ever happened to the M&I loans or how they were actually spent.

Milwaukee Police Looking For Three Suspects Who Threaten To Kill Cops

A Milwaukee resident was arrested after asking two Milwaukee police officers a question while they were parked.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 29, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Police Department were looking for three suspects who posted threats to kill cops in a social network. By Sunday, two of the suspects had been detained for questioning.
One Milwaukee resident was mistakenly accused by a police officer on Saturday as one of the suspects sought in connection with making threats to shoot police. Police couldn't connect him to the threats, but was allegedly arrested and cited for obstructing or resisting an officer and for a standing vehicle after asking two police officers a question who were in their assigned squad car parked at a street. According to Jabril Faraj, a guest contributing writer for On Milwaukee dot com, he was taken into custody on December 27 near N. 27 St. and W. Auer Ave. for just stopping his vehicle next to a marked police squad car and asking Milwaukee Police Officers Branko Stoj and Joseph Anderer why were they there? Officer Stoj told him to move on and while Faraj attempted to drive off, but didn't  move fast enough because he had it in the wrong gear. Stoj got out of his squad and immediately told Faraj to turn off his vehicle, opened the door and forced Faraj out of the car. Stoj then handcuffed Faraj. Faraj has also accused both Officers Stoj and Anderer of illegally searching his vehicle without his permission. Faraj's vehicle was towed by police. Faraj was in the area to cover Justice for Dontre Hamilton protests, but no protest took place.
Anderer accused Faraj of being a "domestic terrorist" and that one officer at the police station told him, you're lucky you didn't get shot and that Anderer responded "We don't mind making the news again," according to Faraj's story on On Milwaukee dot com.
Faraj was taken to Police District 7 Station for questioning, booking and given two tickets. He was released afterwards.
In April 2011, Milwaukee Motorcycle Police Officer Anderer was accused of breaking the camera of Geoff Davidian, a journalist who stopped to record a police vehicle incident that sped out of an alley without stopping and hit a moving vehicle on the street. Officer Anderer did not want any news reporting of the incident and prevented Davidian to continue recording the police accident. The woman driver was just given a warning and Davidian was cited for interfering with police issuing a citation, which was never issued to the woman driver, the Information  Liberation dot Com reported.

Black Females Spark Fights At Kings Plaza Mall, Monroeville Mall And Chicago's Navy Pier Winterfest

Three major brawls by young Black females embarrassing for communities in Brooklyn, Pittsburgh and Chicago.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 28, 2014

Brooklyn, New York - Three major brawls involving Black female teens have been reported in three states after Christmas. One of the brawls happened at the Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, the second at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh and the third at the Navy Pier Winterfest in Chicago.
In all three brawls, hundreds of Black female teens were involved and began to beat each other. They were caught on videos that have been going viral in social networks and the main stream media.
The Monroeville Mall was closed early after the brawl broke out on Friday and involved hundreds of teens all over the mall. Shops were locked down to protect customers and riot police were called go control the melee. In Chicago, five teens were arrested at the Navy Pier Winterfest after more than 30 teens were involved in a brawl. Two teens were reported injured, all those arrested were charged with misdemeanors. No one under 18 and not accompanied by a parent or guardian will not be allowed into the Winterfest under the new restrictions guidelines set by organizers after Friday's brawl.
Two other melees involving Black females were reported by Chicago police at the Rock and Roll McDonald's and Buffalo Wings restaurants within 48 hours.
At the Kings Plaza Mall, security struggled to contain the fight. The mall has had a history of fights between teens.
It has become an embarrassing situation for the teens and communities that they live in, especially their parents.
Whatever the reason for initiating the brawls, it's embarrassing and shame that young Black teens can't get along with each other in public environments, especially at shopping malls without causing chaos. When will they ever learn that violence is not the answer to mere social issues in their lives?

December 27, 2014

Altamirano, Guerrero, Mexico - On Thursday, the body of Catholic Priest Gregorio "Goyo" Gorostieta, 39, was found around 3:00 p.m. in the city of Altamirano with a gunshot wound to the head. Father Goyo's body showed signs of mutilation, torture and had gunshot wounds.
Goyo was kidnapped on Sunday from the seminar in Altamirano where he gave classes by an armed commando believed to be working with the local, state and President Enrique Peña Nieto's federal narco-goverment. Father Goyo was at the seminar to participate in several religious masses and a Christmas mass.
Father Goyo also known as "Goyito" was ordained as a priest in 2006 and became very outspoken against the Guerreros Unidos,  a drug cartel who he publicly accused of killing 43 Ayotzinapa students in Iguala/Cocula. He also alleged a major coverup of the September 26 student massacre by the Iguala and Cocula municipal police and involving state and federal corrupt government officials, military and law enforcement (Federal Police) who participated also with the state drug cartel known as the Guerreros Unidos in the kidnapping and murder of the students.

December 26, 2014

Edinburgh, Texas - On Friday, La Joya Police Chief Geovani Hernández confirmed that a suspect who called their 911 nine times and threaten to killed a kidnapped U.S. Border agent has been identified by feds. Chief Hernández told the Monitor that the suspect forgot to hang up his phone in one of the calls and was heard using communication radio transmission codes used by drug cartels.
The suspect then realized he didn't hang up and got mad, then threatened the 911 operator that he was going to locate her and killed everyone at the police station.
The call led police and feds to trace the call to a 956 area code and identified the suspect and another suspect in a radio communition in Spanish. There identities are being withheld.
The U.S. Border Patrol in the Rio Grande Valley that has 3,100 agents in 32 Texas Counties has been trying to locate all its agents to assure they are accounted for. But since Friday, only agents reporting for duty have been accounted for and other agents enjoying the holidays or on vacation can't be reached to be accounted.

Racists Come Out Of The Closet By Wearing "Breathe Easy, Don't Break The Law" T-shirts

Racists labeled themselves in America!

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 25, 2014

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Blatant racists proud to show their true nature in America, they can all be identified by their message when wearing a "Breathe Easy, Don't Break The Law" (BEDBTL) t-shirts. Some of those wearing this type of t-shirts are just ignorant or don't actually realize that it's a phrase created by Jason Barthel who owns South Bend Uniform and a police corporal in Indiana to mock the last words of a dying victim, Eric Garner, an Afro-American while being held on an illegal chokehold and killed by Daniel Pantaleo, a White NYC Police Officer just for allegedly selling illegal cigarettes in the streets of New York City. The creator of the racist BEDBTL t-shirt has argued that it was made to support law enforcement, but in reality Justice for Garner activists believe that it was Barthel's idea to promote racism within law enforcement.
In the latest use of the BEDBTL t-shirt, Milwaukee County Supervisor Deanna Alexander posted on her Twitter account that she bought herself a BEDBTL t-shirt after three other Afro-American supervisors wore t-shirt's saying "I Can't Breathe" Garner's last words as he was killed by Pantaleo. The Garner phrase is used to call for justice for Garner. Officer Pantaleo was not charged or fired for killing Garner and using an illegal chokehold prohibited by the NYC Police Department.
The message Supervisor Alexander is actually sending is, that if you break the law, you will be killed without due process. She says, that she bought it to support law enforcement and was not intended to be racist.
Shame on Supervisor Alexander, she should know better. If she really is supporting law enforcement, than she should say it and not use a phrase used to mock a victim of an illegal chokehold that claimed a life. Anyone using the BEDBTL phrase is racist just as Alexander is projecting openly or discreetly and is part of the national problem involving the use racist beliefs to enforce the law unequally. Racism has no business in law enforcement, especially when officers are sworn to uphold the U.S. Constitution, state Constitutions and laws.

"I support good cops, not law breaking cops!"

Michoacán Community Self-defense Groups Must Disarm Or Face Arrest By Feds

A deadly confrontation between two rival self-defense groups in Michoacán has led to a federal mandate of disarmament.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 24, 2014

Mexico - Michoacán self-defense groups must disarmed and anyone resisting will be arrested, Alfredo Castillo, Commissioner of Security has confirmed. Hipólito Mora and Luis Antonio Torres leaders of rival Michoacán community self-defense groups have one week to surrender to the Mexican feds in connection with a deadly battle between the two groups.
Mora has accused Castillo of supporting the Torres group that has connections with a criminal organization Caballeros Templarios and members of his group are composed of corrupt cops. Torres is known as "El Americano" and believed to be collaborating with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto's narco-goverment administration.
A recent recording of radio transmissions between Torres and his men during a gun battle with Mora indicated that the intended target was the Mexican military, but Mora was caught in the middle of the battle. Mora lost his son, Manuel, 32,  and 4 of his men. Torres lost 6 men as well.
The gun battle in mid December involved more than 56 combatants, according to Castillo.
The mandate to disarm comes after the groups have failed to follow certain laws, agreements with the feds to disarm and leave the area. The military and Federal Police have taken control and security in Apatzingán, La Mira and La Rauna, Castillo confirmed.

No Arrests Reported During Dontre Hamilton's Peaceful March And Die-in

Hundreds gathered at the Arrow Park and another group staged a brief die-in at the Mayfair Mall.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 23, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, hundreds of people from various communities gathered at the Arrow Park for a peaceful rally and march through downtown Milwaukee. They were chanting Justice for Dontre Hamilton, a Black community member who was killed by a White former Police Officer, Christopher Manney enforcing a Milwaukee County Ordinance prohibiting any resident from just sleeping at the park during the afternoon.
Another 40 people went to the Mayfair Mall in Wawautosa around 4:30 p.m. and briefly staged a die-in and announced 14 reasons why Black lives matter. The protesters at Mayfair after ending their die-in act in front of late Christmas shoppers then left the mall.
In both events, police reported no arrests, but in Milwaukee, bus loads of Milwaukee police officers and Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies followed the protesters to the BMO and Harris Bradley Center where they staged a sit-in and chanted "Shut it down, We don't need racist Cops."
The rally ended at Arrow Park after 8:p.m.
Police were called to the Grand Avenue Mall about an incident. They haven't reported, if it was related to the Hamilton downtown protest or march.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office suspended all vacation leave for deputies and were ordered to show up for work, which many weren't to happy working on the holidays.

White Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney Justified In Killing Black Homeless Man

Former Milwaukee Police Officer was justified in killing Dontre Hamilton, a homeless man whose only mistake was to sleep at a Milwaukee County Park where sleeping was prohibited and any law enforcement officer could use any means to arrest offender without a warrant, Milwaukee County D.A. John Chisholm ruled.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 22, 2014

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday after 8 months of delay, Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm announced his decision that former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney "was justified" in killing homeless man Dontre Hamilton on April 30. Chisholm in a released investigation report stated,  "After reviewing all the evidence, I believe there can be little serious doubt that P.O. Manney was justified in firing at Dontre Hamilton, who was attacking him with a deadly weapon (baton)... I come to the conclusion that Officer Manney's use of force in this incident was justified self-defense and that defense cannot be reasonably overcome to establish a basis to charge Officer Manney with a crime." According to Chisholm investigation and determination, Police Officer Manney, who was fired from the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) by MPD Police Chief Edward Flynn for breaking policy by padding down a mentally ill homeless man when trained not to do so under certain circumstances was legally acting when Manney decided to remove Hamilton from sleeping at Red Arrow Park. Under a Milwaukee County Ordinance, any law enforcement officer can prohibit anyone from sleeping at a Milwaukee County Park who is not authorized to do so by arresting and using any means to remove the offender from the park. The County Ordinance prohibits sleeping in a County Park, Section 47.25 of the County Code allows an arrest of an offender without a warrant by any officer and "may use all necessary means to attain that end."
Chisholm believed Manney was legally acting when attempting  to remove Hamilton from the park.
While Manney was padding down Hamilton, Hamilton resisted and scuffled with then Officer Manney. Manney took out his wooded baton and struck Hamilton several times, Hamilton reacted and took the baton away from Manney. He then struck Manney several times and Officer Manney fearing for his life, took out his service weapon and after repeatedly warning Hamilton to drop the baton, and Hamilton moving forward with intent to strike Manney, he had no choice other than to stop the threat and fired multiple shots killing Hamilton, according to Chisholm's investigation.
After Chisholm's decision, hundreds of people walked through downtown and headed to the federal court house where the Hamilton family had a news conference with their attorney.
Jonathan Safran, the attorney for the Hamilton family, says the family was disappointed with Chisholm's decision not to charge former Police Officer Manney with Hamilton's homicide and is seeking a federal investigation for a possible Civil Rights violation of Hamilton's rights. Safran believes, "federal law criminal civil rights charges are warranted in this case."
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Milwaukee has announced that the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI will investigate the Hamilton case to determine whether Hamilton's civil rights were violated by former Officer Manney.
The Coalition for Justice (CfJ), a racially mixed group that have organized protests seeking justice for Hamilton confirmed, that Chisholm's decision proves that there is no justice for black community members, especially in the Hamilton case. In a released statement, CfJ believes that Hamilton "was racially and criminally targeted because he was a Black man, sleeping in a public park."
CfJ on Monday vowed to continue to seek justice for Hamilton and stated that Chisholm, "left the members of this community no other alternatives than to stand up, protest and to take justice that was rightfully ours by birth. There is no justice. So there can be no peace or compromise."
CfJ called on the community to stand up for their civil rights and protest the inequality of justice within the "corrupt" judicial system in Milwaukee County.
Community members after Chisholm's decision began gathering at the downtown Arrow Park where Hamilton was murdered by Manney and plan to continue their protests against inequality of justice for Afro-Americans in Milwaukee and U.S.
Christine Neumann-Ortiz, Executive Director of Voces de la Frontera in Milwaukee, an immigrant rights organization, released the following statement, “We condemn District Attorney John Chisolm’s decision to not charge fired police officer Christopher Manney with any crime for killing Dontre Hamilton. To ensure positive police-community relations, we must hold law enforcement officials to high standards under stressful situations.  There was no need to fire 14 rounds in a lethal manner at a man who represented no danger.
“We send our love to Dontre’s family and the families of other victims of police violence. We encourage community members to protest this decision, and we join the Hamilton family in calling on the federal government to start an independent investigation to achieve justice. Justice for Dontre! Black Brown solidarity! Black lives matter!”
The ACLU-Milwaukee posted on their Facebook account that the Mayor and the City Common Council should exercise more accountability and oversight of the Milwaukee Police Department in order to push for the Fire and Police Commission to investigate citizen complaints against police officers. Mirjana Petrovich posted on the ACLU- Milwaukee Facebook an allegation of police abuse and falsifying a report. She wrote on an ACLU oversight of police posting that, "MPD dragged me out of my house and wrongfully imprisoned/arrested me, booked me, kept me in county jail for 48 hours upon which the city attorney dismissed the charges (Officer Donald Krueger of District 6 attempted to charge me with obstruction and falsified the police report). Is there anything you can do to help me file a lawsuit, or perhaps point me in the direction of an attorney who specializes in civil rights violations? Racist Cops Against Justice For All

Law enforcement officers around the nation are mourning the loss of two New York police officers who were gunned down by a crazed man on Saturday in Brooklyn.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 21, 2014

New York, New York - On Saturday, both New York City Police Officers Wenjian Liu, 32, and Rafael Ramos, 40, were executed by Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, while they sat on their police squad. Brinsley fatally shot both officers and later committed suicide. He body was found by the subway with a self-inflicted wound to the head. Brinsley also had attempted to kill his girlfriend, according to police.
Reports that Brinsley had posted his disgust of developing events from the Michael Brown homicide in Ferguson, Missouri and the Eric Garner's homicide in New York City had led to the killings of officer Liu and Ramos. Brown was killed by former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson and Eric Garner was killed by NYC Police Officer Daniel Pantaleo, which both were found justified and sparked protests around the nation seeking justice for the victims.
During a press conference in NYC, police officers turned their backs to Mayor Bill de Blasio for blaming "centuries of racism" that has led to Brown's homicide in Ferguson and Garner's homicide in NYC. De Blasio vowed to hold police officers accountable, if they "don't live up to the values of the uniform." By the NYC police officers turning their back on Mayor De Blasio while he walked into a press conference has sent a strong message nationally that the officers seemed to condone racism and profiling and are defiant to change their attitudes. If the officers actually feel that their racism should be used to judge people who they stop or question, then they shouldn't be officers and should be replaced. They were hired to protect and serve and have taken an oath to abide by the U.S. Constitution and state Constitution.
A press release by the Ferguson Action Coalition states, "We are shocked and saddened by the news of two NYPD officers killed today in Brooklyn. We mourned with the families of Eric Garner and Mike Brown who experienced unspeakable loss, and similarly our hearts go out to the families of these officers who are now experiencing that same grief. They deserve all of our prayers.
"Unfortunately, there have been attempts to draw misleading connections between this movement and today's tragic events. Millions have stood together in acts of non-violent civil disobedience, one of the cornerstones of our democracy.  It is irresponsible to draw connections between this movement and the actions of a troubled man who took the lives of these officers and attempted to take the life of his ex-partner, before ultimately taking his own. Today's events are a tragedy in their own right. To conflate them with the brave activism of millions of people across the country is nothing short of cheap political punditry.
"Elected officials and law enforcement leaders must not allow this narrative to continue, as it only serves to heighten tensions at a time when the families of those killed are in mourning.
"We stand with the families in mourning, we stand united against senseless killings, and we stand for a justice system that works for all."
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm has not rendered a decision whether to charge former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney for the April homicide of Dontre Hamilton, a homeless man whose only mistake was to sleep in Red Arrow Park. Hamilton was shot 14 times. Protests seeking justice for Hamilton have been ongoing prompting at least 74 arrests on Friday night for blocking the I-43 freeway. The Coalition for Justice, which organized the protests in Milwaukee released the following statement, that they "do not condone senseless acts of violence against anyone...We know that some of the country's officers will take the events of yesterday's as permission to even further profile, harass, brutalize our people."
Melissa Bollow Tempel on Sunday posted on Facebook, that she was one of multitude of people who managed to block the I-43 freeway and none of them were arrested on Friday. She says, two groups were involved, her group with 16 vehicles and carloads of protesters drove into the freeway, the second group marched from Red Arrow Park to the McKinley and I-43 on-ramp. The first group of 8 vehicles entered from Highland and the other 8 vehicles entered from North Ave. driving on opposite directions around 4:30 p.m. They managed to stop the North bound and South bound traffic during rush hour.
The Red Arrow group walked to the median, but some protesters broke their plan to stay on the median at McKinley and led the group entered to the on-ramp freeway prompting them to stop at the top of the ramp where at 73 and a minor were arrested by police and deputies. They never got into the freeway and all those protesters arrested were from the on-ramp.
The first group with vehicles were expected to get arrested, but when the cops arrived, they drove away and none were arrested or cited, according to Temple who accompanied the freeway group that stopped traffic.
President Barack H. Obama stated, "I unconditionally condemn today's murder of two police officers in New York City. Two brave men won't be going home to their loved ones tonight, and for that, there is no justification. The officers who serve and protect our communities risk their own safety for ours every single day—and they deserve our respect and gratitude every single day. Tonight, I ask people to reject violence and words that harm, and turn to words that heal—prayer, patient dialogue, and sympathy for the friends and family of the fallen."

Mosley if convicted on both counts is 60 years in prison for sexual assault and 40 years in prison for kidnapping. A $50,000 cash bail has been set for Mosley. A preliminary hearing is set for December 29.
Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) first reported that the suspect was identified by a Facebook account and later booked for the sexual assault case involving a child.
According to the criminal complaint, Mosley confessed to grabbing the girl while she walked to the St. Martin Lutheran School near S. 15th Place and W. Orchard St. around 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday. He pulled the girl alongside the rear of a home and proceeded to assault her.
A neighbor heard the girl's scream and came to the rescue. Mosley had his pants down when the neighbor arrived at the scene. But he pulled his pants up and fled North to W. Greenfield Ave.
The girl told police that Mosley had threaten to kill her, had touched and violated her private parts and forced her to perform a sex act.
Mosley was arrested last Wednesday night in the 1200 block of W. Madison St. hours after his photo shopping at a local grocery store was aired by media outlets. The photo went viral on Facebook (FB) and people recognized him and tips led police to his Facebook account and arrest.
Mosley's brother had posted on FB that he turned himself in to police, but police had made the arrest. In Mosley's FB account, nearly 2,000 comments have been posted since Tuesday condemning his alleged assault of the young child. Numerous people have posted that he should kill himself or hoped that Mosley would be raped in jail by other inmates, including some that posted, if they would have seen him on the street before police, they would beat him or kill him prompting family members to respond in defense of Mosley. After Mosley was charged on Saturday, family members have stopped responding to negative comments posted on Mosley's FB active page.
In one prior posting, a family member alleged that Mosley had attempted or assaulted another young girl related to him and that possibly it was reported to authorities.

3,000 Protesters Seeking Justice Shut Down Mall Of America For Hours

Thousands gathered at the Mall of America to protest police brutality against Afro-Americans and Latinos.

December 20, 2014

Bloomington, Minnesota - More than 3,000 people gathered at the Mall of America (MOA) to disrupt one of the busiest shopping days before Christmas. Part of the Mall of America was shut down for hours after protesters chanted for justice against police brutality and mocked dead bodies of Afro-Americans killed by police.
At least 20 protesters were arrested, according to Black Lives Matter in Minneapolis (BLMM), one of the organizers. BLMM in a press release stated that it was one of their most successful peaceful protests. Some of the organizers say, that they were disappointed that riot police and MOA security locked down some of the doors and exits at the mall. BLMM alleged that most of those arrested were targeted by police as they were leaving peacefully from the mall.
The MOA received $250M in taxpayer funds last year and they wouldn't allow a peaceful protest at the mall. Some of stores inside the mall closed and locked their gates during the protest.

Milwaukee County D.A. Chisholm Expected Not To File Charges Against Former Officer Manney

D.A. Chisholm expected to file charges against former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney for Dontre Hamilton's homicide, according to inside sources at the Milwaukee County Court House.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 19, 2014

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Friday, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) released a final total of protesters arrested during several disobedience actions in the City of Milwaukee. The MCSO reported that 73 adults and 1 minor were arrested and cited for disorderly conduct and blocking part of the N-S I-43 freeway with fines totaling at least between $800 to $1,400 each. The MCSO will allow all Milwaukee residents that were arrested during Friday's protest to be released after being booked without requiring bail, according to the Coalition for Justice group who organized the protests.
One of those arrested was Jessie Garza, a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Garza confirmed that he was handcuffed (plastic cuff straps), bused to the MCJF along with others and was allowed to leave after two to three hours later. Garza was not booked. He was taken into custody at the McKinley/I-43 entrance ramp and did identified himself as a reporter covering the protest, but the arresting officer didn't care.
Friday's rally and protests began in the afternoon at Red Arrow Park where Dontre Hamilton was fatally shot 14 times by former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney. Then the protesters headed to I-43 and managed to block the North and South bound lanes of the highway. Other people made their way to protest in front of the Milwaukee Police Administration building and the Milwaukee County Justice Facility (MCJF - jail).
Another downtown protest is expected for Saturday.
Mayor Tom Barrett said, that he was disappointed that the protest organizers and the Hamilton family for allowing people to block highway traffic, endangering freeway drivers and protesters. Barrett and police had agreed to allow the protesters to actively stage peaceful rallies and they had promised to abide by the law. But eventually, they didn't comply or kept their promise. The MCSO and MPD confirmed on Friday that they will continue to arrest protesters, if they block traffic, walk into the freeway system and endanger lives or break any laws.
A fund was created by the protesters to get donations for bail money. So far, as of late Friday less than $2,200 had been donated.
Protesters claim that some of their fellow supporters were arrested while engaging in a peaceful protest on Friday, although Mayor Barrett, MPD and MCSO dispute that claim.
Around 10:15 p.m., some protesters attempted to storm into the MCJF and were stopped by police and sheriff deputies. According to Carolina Soza-González, she posted on Facebook that Jayme Montgomery Baker had been taken into custody when people attempted to storm into the MCJF. Mike Wilder also posted on FB, "they (deputies) snatched the phone from another young lady who caught the best footage and threw it in the garbage ...to incite violence." Police blocked the 700 to 900 blocks of W. State St. and N. 9th St. to prevent any traffic from going through the jail facility.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm is expected to announce at any time, if he will press charges against Manney for Hamilton's homicide last April. Hamilton was homeless and suffered from mental disability when he was killed. Chisholm is expected not to charge Manney for Hamilton's death, according to inside sources at the Milwaukee County Court House.
Governor Scott Walker (R) has put the national guard on standby, if it is needed to provide security and to keep the peace after Chisholm announces his decision whether to charge or exonerate former Officer Manney.

Update: On Saturday, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Jr. in a press conference said, that the mob (protesters) engaged in a mob behavior that involved anarchists, out of towners and agitators who gathered to violated the rights of other people and preventing citizens from using the freeway by blocking parts of I-43. On Friday, 73 people and one minor were arrested, cited and charged with misdemeanors (disorderly conduct and pedestrian on the freeway) and felonies. The adult that took the minor into the freeway to block the flow of traffic was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Sheriff Clarke also said, that Milwaukee County D.A. John Chisholm has been "foot dragging" leading to a "destructive effect" in rendering a decision on the Dontre Hamilton case.

MPS Superintendent Driver Under Fire By Morgandale K-8 School Student Parents

Driver just several months into the position of Milwaukee Public School Superintendent has come under fire by parents of the Morgandale K-8 elementary school students for choosing an administrator to become its principal instead of the interim principal who is a bilingual assistant principal.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 19, 2014

Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, more than 300 Spanish speaking parents became upset and disappointed at the new Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Superintendent Darienne Driver, 36, for not taking into consideration their position to have the current interim Principal Mary Saldaña to remain as the current principal. Saldaña took over Morgandale after longtime Principal Barbara Luepke retired.
Driver decided to appoint MPS Chief Academic Officer Tina Flood as the new Morgandale K-8 School Principal, despite Flood not having any experience as a teacher or any former principal experience, who is not bilingual as well.
MPS had not officially informed the school district community about Driver's decision other than a verbal announcement, according to parents. The parents reacted to Driver's decision by staging a protest on Thursday and an ongoing petition drive to get signatures from Morgandale student parents to get Driver to reconsider and allow interim Principal Saldaña to remain as the current Principal. So far, the parents have gotten more than 300 signatures.
According to MPS, more than 75% (580) of students at Morgandale Elementary School, 3635 S. 17 St. are Hispanic and most are bilingual.
The Morgandale student parents say they will continue to protest and are spreading their organizing efforts to get the community and MPS Board involved in working to assure MPS considers their demands and input to determine their needs, including the educational success for their sons and daughters.
Driver when hired as the MPS Superintendent indicated that she wants the community and parents input to help her to provide the best education for students success. Driver on Thursday during a WUWM Public Radio program stated, "So much emphasis is always put on the schools, on the students, on the teachers, and not realizing that it's really the entire community that has to rally around the schools to make a difference. I'm a firm believer in the village—the fact that it takes a village to raise a child." If Driver is serious about her belief that the community matters, then she should reconsider and allow interim Morgandale Principal Saldaña remain in the position, according to parents.
Esmy Garcia on Facebook posted, "The superintendent is trying replace her with a non bilingual principal and translator which really makes no sense why not just keep a bilingual principal at a bilingual school?!!!! So that's why we are fighting to keep her!!!"

Hipolíto Mora Surrounded By Rival Self-defense Cartel Group Backed By Mexican Government

El Americano massacred part of the Hipolíto Mora's self-defense group in Michoacán and had surrounded Mora in a last fight for survival.

By H. Nelson Goodson
December 16, 2014

On Tuesday afternoon, a community defense group massacre included the son of leader Hipolíto Mora in Buenavista, Michoacán. In an audio interview, Mora says he is surrounded, the military and Federal Police have fled and abandoned them.
They have hours or days to died, according to Mora. Another insurgency self-defense group led by the American, Luis Antonio Torres who is known to work for Los Viagras, a criminal group and is backed by the corrupt Mexican governments has surrounded them. In Tuesday's massacre, Manuel Mora, the son of Hipolíto Mora was reported killed.
In an interview with Radio Formula on Tuesday, Mora blames Alfredo Castillo, the federal Commissioner for Security in Michoacan for the massacre on Tuesday. Mora said, that Castillo knew that an eminent attack on Mora's self-defense group from La Rauna was targeted by a rival self-defense group headed by Torres with connections with a local criminal organization. Castillo is accused of backing Torres and Los Viagras for control of the state of Michoacán. Federal Police and the military stood by on Tuesday while Mora's group was attacked and at least six people including his son were killed.
During the radio interview, Mora called on all Mexican citizens to rise up for the Mexican Revolution against the Mexican corrupt narco-goverment and to wake up and fight to the death with honor to defend the rights and freedom for all national citizens. Mora also told listeners not to believe the federal government, which has lied and continues to lie to the people to protect their financial gain through corruption and narco-goverment. Mora said, he is ready and willing to die with honor for his people, which could have hours or days to live, if the federal troops don't get deployed into the area to prevent another massacre by criminal groups backed by the Michoacán state and federal governments.
Castillo has not responded to Mora's assertion that he is part of the corrupt narco-goverment in Michoacán and the federal government.
Mora called on Mexican nationals to pick up arms or farm tools and to defend their rights or die trying along with their sons with pride and honor.
So far federal (Marines) troops or Federal Police have not to been deployed to Buenavista or where Mora's group is surrounded by Torres's criminal groups.
On Sunday, the Proceso Magazine and a report by the University of California-Berkeley (UCB) exposed what Mora is claiming against the military, Federal Police and President Nieto's administration that they are corrupt and working with narco groups. The report by Proceso shows that the 27th Infantry Battalion and Federal Police in Iguala helped corrupt Iguala and Cocula Municipal Police in the September 26 Ayotzinapa student massacre and disappearance of 43 students who are now believed murdered and bodies cremated to get rid of any evidence and identification of missing students.
Federal Police have denied the Proceso  allegations, but student testimony, cell videos and witness reports including 900 pages of documents acquired by Proceso and the UCB indicate other wise.
Castillo told Aristegui Noticias that 11 people were killed in a gun battle between the Mora and Torres groups. The gun battle has been a feud between the groups for territory and that the military was in the area. But Mora says, the military didn't even attempted to stop the gun battle. One of the groups was told to disarm and failed to do so by December 15, according to Castillo. Mora associated Castillo with the Torres group, which are former police officers and Templarios, a criminal organization that used to control most of Michoacán.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Steve Fendt, the former executive director of the Southside Organizing Committee (SOC) send out a mass e-mail dated December 15, to friends of SOC claiming that the SOC Board had given him "no reason" for why he was terminated from the position on November 15. In the mass mailing, Fendt acknowledges his accomplishments and recognized most of the Southside community members that worked with SOC in certain issues and accredited the non-profit organization's success to his leadership and support from the community.
Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) first broke the story in November when Fendt was dismissed from SOC. On Tuesday, when HNNUSA contacted Fendt, he stated, "The separation was not mutual. They offered me 8 weeks severance in exchange for my silence on why I was let go --they have no good reason-- I felt they owed the community an explanation if not from the both of us, then I would provide one.  Through my lawyer, I offered a counter proposal which included coming up with a joint statement that we could share with the community, a mutual non-disparagement clause, and a more reasonable severance package given my 22 years of high performing service to the organization. They did not respond to my counter offer." Fendt had been the executive director of SOC, since October 1991.
When contacted by HNNUSA in November, Attorney Jason Cleereman, the President of the SOC Board would only confirmed that Fendt, the executive director for SOC was no longer with the non-profit organization. Fendt's last day with SOC was on November 15, according to Cleereman.
Cleereman said, that Fendt and the SOC Board decided to part ways and wouldn't elaborate further. The SOC Board is now trying to replace Fendt.
The SOC Board has indicated it will not publicly discuss Fendt's termination, since Fendt has hired an attorney and has not authorized the SOC Board to release any reason why they decided to terminate him. SOC does not discuss internal personnel matters in public, according to their employment policy to hire or terminate employees.
To date, Fendt is still listed in the SOC website as the executive director.
SOC is a neighborhood based organization dedicated to the development and sustain ability of Milwaukee's Near South Side Neighborhoods. We focus  on projects that support community stake holders and create safe and livable neighborhoods, according to the SOC website.

HNNUSA has included the following e-mail that was send out by Fendt to friends of SOC.

Dear Friend of SOC: (para español, vea a bajo)

As you are someone whose relationship I have valued over the years, I wanted to let you know that my employment with the Southside Organizing Committee (SOC) was terminated by the SOC Board of Directors on a 5-0 vote on November 15, 2015.  The SOC Board --Jason Cleereman, Graciela Hernandez, Marina Borges, Carmen Cabrera and Zonya Lopez -- gave no reason for its action.  As a publicly funded entity, SOC board meetings are open to the public.

In my 22 years at SOC I have always acted in what I felt were the best interests of the organization and the 88,000 people of the Near South Side.  My decisions were based upon the facts available and the multitude of voices I heard throughout my time and space in the community.  One of the first lessons of community organizing is that all decisions serve an interest. While I respect the Board's right to make this choice to terminate my employment, I am saddened as I think it serves neither the organization nor the community.

Please know that I have enjoyed working with you and for you over these last 22 years.  We had a great partnership, and together we accomplished a lot for the community.  I leave SOC proud of all the work we have done and am especially proud of this past year's accomplishments, including

● Connecting over 200 Energy Assistance eligible households to this annual program of which they were previously unaware
● Connecting over 100 residents to programs that helped maintain and improve housing conditions for Near South Side families
● Getting $2 million in new funding set aside in the City's 2015 budget for homeowners struggling to maintain their homes, a critical need for which we had consistently and demonstratively advocated
● Drawing attention to a proposed counter-effective, fee and inspection program aimed at affordable housing providers on certain blocks of the Near South Side
● Delivering over 8,000 letters to the candidates for governor this fall in support of a driver's license program for the thousands of immigrant laborers and caregivers who are concentrated on the Near South Side
● Gathering over 500 Near South Side residents, including Near South Side elected representatives and the mayor to advocate for State help on the issue of driver's licenses, home maintenance and public safety;  and perhaps most significantly,
● Establishing SOC as a leading, local, mediating voice in the national conversation on immigration as an organization that acts on the common interests of the community where the highest concentration of the State's immigrants reside.

With the help of SOC staff over the last two years, I leave SOC on firm financial footing with unrestricted revenue and assets over $15,000; commitments of $274,090 in 2015 grant funding; as a finalist for a substantial, multi-year national community organizing award slated for June 2015; and with a strong outreach and translation revenue generating service.  It is my hope that the organization will continue to be a voice for the people.  Please do all you can to continue to ensure that the people are heard!

Over my 22 years at SOC I had a lot of help from other committed staff and volunteers who helped build the organization and establish credibility within the community.  More than any other SOC staff person, Freddy Garnica really connected SOC to the growing Latino community on the Near South Side and helped SOC stay true to its indigenous roots as the neighborhood changed from 75% Anglo to 75% Latino over the past generation.  This year's staff of Misael Hernandez, Clarissa Morales and Patricia Ruiz performed exceptionally under extreme pressure. Louisa Diliberti, Jesus Hernandez, Jr., Phoua Vang, Paulina DeHaan, Jocasta Zamarripa, Barbara McKillop, Nazareth Ornelas, Amy Senneke, Cesar Roman, Ann Singh, Alicia Gonzalez, Marty Tirado, Jackie Ziegler, Martha Kampmann, and Michael Kost were all the right people at the right time for SOC to get to where it is today.  Equally responsible for SOC's successes were some of the board members who complemented SOC staff efforts with their hard work and gumption, their passion for the cause, and the pragmatic leadership they exhibited during their tenure including the late Jose Gutierrez, SOC's first Chairman; Betty Grinker, Alice Lisota, Roberto Castillo, Charles Engle, Tom and Evelyn Sheehan, Earl Komassa, Jack Drobnik, Ceil Puskarich, Mavis Mathea, Denise and Vivian Zellmer, Darlene Rakowski, Bob Donovan, Pat Prudlow, Pastor Jim Getka, Dominga Cordero,  Lupe Ball, Eileen Owens, Jose Lopez, Tim Ballering, Joel Martinez, Roger Kristicevic, David Turner, Karen Deiro, Dagoberto Ibarra, Jack Szymborski, Kathy Treacy, Julie Smith, Joe Perez, Tony Garnica, Erich Straub, Frank Villa, Elaine Handeland, Gloria Gonzalez, Ernesto Nava,  Christine Shaughnessy, Marta Alamo, Mike Johnson, Jose (M&G) Lopez, Linda Zinke, Rev. Madeline Fuentez and dozens of other friends and supporters.

Lastly, I want you to know I am grateful for all the professional and life affirming relationships I have made with all of you --local pastors, local school principals and parent coordinators, community development agency staff, funders, dedicated public employees and most especially, the hard working, common sensical, independent-thinking and family-loving people of the Near South Side.  It was a challenging job, but I found it easy to work for you!  I wish you all the very best!

Steve Fendt

● Llamar la atención para un programa propuesto de un pago e una inspección para provedores de casas económicas en ciertas bloques del Lado Sur;
