Man Charged With 30 Counts Of Making False Government ID's And Mexican Driver's Licenses

Jony Zavala

Two year Clarksville police investigation busts local businessman for making fake ID's and Mexican driver's licenses.

February 28, 2013

Clarksville,  Indiana - A local hair salon business owner was charged with up to 30 felony counts for making fake ID's, international driver's licenses and government ID's, including Social Security cards, WLKY dot com reported. Jony Zavala was taken into custody at his business on February 8 on charges stemming from making fake ID's, including Mexican driver's licenses, distribution and forgery.
Zavala also sold Mexican driver's licenses from various states for hundreds of dollars and charged an additional $200 for International Driver's Licences (IDL), which weren't valid in the U.S. The IDL is a mere translation document of a foreign valid driver's license that are valid in the country, if the holder is legally in the U.S. Anyone legally in the country seeking a valid IDL can get one from Triple A, an automotive road service for a mere $10.
Zavala without permission managed to add five vehicles to an insurance holder's policy without his knowledge and left him with the cost. He was charged with insurance fraud, according to police.
A two year Clarksville police investigation into the manufacturing of fake ID's scammed illegal immigrants of thousands of dollars for multiple years. Police say, it took two years to bust Zavala due to a lack of cooperation by some victims.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Declared Brain Dead

Chávez was removed four days ago from life supports.

February 28, 2013

Caracas, Venezuela - Four days ago, Venezuelan President re-elect Hugo Chávez was removed from life supports that helped him breathe. Chávez was apparently declared brain dead on December 30, but both the Cuban and Venezuelan governments have conspired to manipulate news about his health and continue to say that Chávez is still in control of Venezuela.
No one has been allowed to see Chávez from other political officials to prove he is alive. His body was brought back to Venezuela, but has been kept on isolation and under guard. He was diagnosed with cancer on June 2011 and spent some time in Cuba trying to recover from his illness.
News reports coming out of Venezuela and now his daughthers saying that the Venezuelan government has been lying about Chávez actual death is raising speculation. The daughthers are tired about Chávez health manipulation by the governments involved and decided to leak the news that Chávez has been dead since December.

U.S. Employers Exploit Immigrant Low-wage Workers Study Found

Some employers tend to use the broken  immigration system to exploit workers, according to newly released NELP study.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 26, 2013

Milwaukee,  WI- On Tuesday,  a co-released a 38-page study by the National Employment Law Project (NELP) and Voces de la Frontera (VDLF) reports that some employers used the broken down immigration system to ignore laws, tend to hire illegal immigrants and then exploits them. These employers and a health insurance company engaged in reporting illegal workers to police in an attempt to avoid paying worker's compensation insurance or earned wages. Another company, Palermo Villa Inc., a Milwaukee pizza making company fired 75 employees after attempting to form a union and advocating for better working conditions and wages. Palermo Pizza accused the employees of failing to reverify their work status shortly after Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) suspended a workers job I-9 verification audit at the plant when the employees in question went on strike in June.
The report entitled "Workers' Rights on ICE: How Immigration Reform Can Stop Retaliation and Advance Labor Rights" includes cases in which some identified employers retaliated against alleged illegal workers by reporting them to police and making false charges against them to avoid paying their wages. ICE was also called by dubious employers to help them eliminate any threat of legal challenges by illegal workers attemping to collect earned wages. Most illegal workers face at least one type of pay-related work place violation, the study indicates.
In 2010, the civilian work force in the U.S. was composed of 23.1M foreign-born workers, including 8M illegal workers who made up about 5.2 percent of the country's labor force.
In 2012, ICE deported a record 409,849 undocumented immigrants (workers) and in President Barack H. Obama's first four year term, more than 1.5M were deported, according to ICE. No deported numbers were released or have been made available showing what percentage of those deported were turned in to ICE by employers to avoid paying them workers insurance compensation or earned wages.
The study also provides recommendations to prevent the exploitation of illegal workers, the NELP study reported.

Tamaulipas Main Stream Media Censored News Regarding Drug Cartels

Twitter and Facebook social media become main source of information about homicides, kidnappings, daily shootings, car jackings, road blocks by criminsls, extortion and drug cartel activity.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 25, 2013

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico - A social network administrator that operates "Valor Tamaulipas" on Twitter and "Valor por Tamaulipas" (VT) on Facebook has become the current internet impromptu journalist blogging hero for thousands of followers on the Internet. VT's Twitter page has more than 26K followers and more than 166K Facebook followers.
A criminal organization in Tamualipas recently circulated flyers offering a $600K pesos ($47,200 U.S.) reward seeking information leading to the identity of VT. VT is a wanted man for posting information about homicides, kidnappings, daily shootings, car jackings, road blocks by cartels, extortion and drug cartel activity in the region on his independent social networks.
Other anonymous Twitters or bloggers from other states in Mexico haven't experienced a hefty bounty for their heads or reward for information leading to their identity, so they can be eliminated (killed) by criminal organizations or drug cartels.
Those who circulated the bounty flyer, unkownly made VT the most famous Twitter from the state of Tamaulipas with a price on his head. Recently, VT informed his followers that he was forced to relocate his family to the U.S. after the flyers began circulating around February 13, requesting information about VT's immediate family members.
VT in his latest posting claims, that the Tamaulipas main stream news agencies have censored any news or information about the criminal activities, murders and drug cartel atrocities in the region. He says, that the news network publish zero news about crimes perpetuated by drug cartels. The two main drug cartels who have taken control of the state of Tamaulipas and has put a tight noose (censor) of all main stream media regarding their crimes and activities are Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel. The lives of reporters, editors and publishers have been threatened or some reporters have been bought off (bribed) and snitch on coworkers that attempt to report crime news.
Now in the VT pages, Twitter followers and Facebook users are posting and discussing recent armed uprisings by other citizens who just became sick and tired of waiting for the state, Mexican authorities and the military to take action and cleanup their cities and towns of criminals, city corruption by police and public elected officials by deciding to take up arms and taking back control of their own cities.
In the state of Guerrero, multiple municipalities in a chain reaction led to an armed uprising by its own population by taking up arms and getting rid of local criminal organizations or cartels who exploited them for years. The population blocked main roads coming into their towns and managed to make major arrests of alleged corrupt police officers and elected political officials until the military arrived and took over.
The cry for Revolution between the law abiding population and criminal organizations, including ruling drug cartels has been ignited and seems to be spreading from town to town as a last resort to combat the proliferation of crime resulting in homicides attributed to drug activity, trafficking and feuding cartels attempting to control multi-million bordertown drug routes.
Also in a municipality of Michoacan, the population has risen and took back control of their town.
Currently, Tamaulipas is drowning in a crime proliferation bubble, which eventually is getting ready to burst. VT and his social network crime reporting activity of high risk areas could very well be the needle to burst that immense bubble.
Will the Tamualipas population follow in the footsteps of other cities and towns by taking up arms and take back control of their state from criminal organizations and drug cartels? The cry for Revolution against criminal organizations and drug cartels has been called and Mexican nationals are a humble and proud people, but when cornered, they will take action regardless of the consequences. ¡Viva Mexico!

Tamaulipas Drug Cartel Offers $600K Pesos For Twitter and Facebook Administrator

Flyers distributed by drug cartel offering $600K pesos for Valor Tamaulipas Twitter administrator in Mexico.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 23, 2013

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico - On Saturday, the unidentified administrator of the Facebook account "Valor por Tamaulipas" and Twitter account "Valor Tamaulipas" (VT) continued to post information regarding incidents of assaults, homicides, drug cartel road blocks and other current situations of risk affecting citizens of Tamaulipas. The VT administrator's life, including his own family have been threaten.
Recently, followers notified him through inbox that flyers began to circulate around border cities and towns in Tamaulipas from an unknown cartel or criminal organization that offered $600,000 pesos ($47,200 U.S.) for information leading to his whereabouts or members of his family. The flyer included a phone cell number to call, which would be easy to trace by Mexican federal authorities in Mexico.
The VT administrator was forced to move his family to the U.S. to keep them safe and vowed to continue to post information about situations of risk to alert his followers, which most main stream news agencies have chosen to censor due to life threats to their reporters and editors by cartels. VT has more than 25K followers in Twitter and more than 165K in Facebook.
In one of his posts dated February 13 on Facebook that included an image of the flyer offering a reward for information leading to his whereabouts or identification, he stated, that those criminals offering the reward whether from the Zetas of the Gulf Cartel shouldn't look for his family, since they are not at fault for what he decided to do regardless of the consequences and that is to report any criminal activity happening in his state of Tamaulipas.
VT is being label a wannabe hero by those who circulated the flyer, but he doesn't consider himself a hero at all. It's his duty to report the news that no main stream news agency is willing to do for fear of losing their own lives, according to VT.
In 2011, multiple victims who used the social networks to twit or place information on Facebook and blogs have been abducted, tortured, then killed by hanging them over bridges or their bodies have been found dismembered in local city parks in the state of Tamualipas. Most of these cases, it is believed that friends or coworkers turned them in to criminal organizations for reward money.

Reuters/Ipsos Mass Deportations Poll Viewed As Last Stand To Derail U.S. Immigration Reform

The latest online poll released by Reuters/Ipsos claiming a majority of Americans want mass deportations of Illegals has given slight hope for anti-immigrant groups and supporters to attempt and regain momentum to block or derail the current interest surge for immigration reform by both Democrats and Republicans to pass a fair federal bill granting a path to citizenship to millions of undocumented immigrants residing in the U.S.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 22, 2013

Washington,  D.C. - On Wednesday,  Reuters released a Reuters/Ipsos online poll suggesting that a majority of U.S. Citizens want most or all of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants deported. An article from Reuters claims it conducted an online survey from Friday through Tuesday and polled about 1,443 people over the age of 18 with a credibility interval of plus or minus 2.9 intervals percentage points, which a majority of those polled or 30% believe that most illegals should be deported with some exceptions and another 23% believe that all illegal immigrants should be deported.
Those polled by Reuter/Ipsos hardly represent a majority of U.S. Citizens and the poll seemed to leave out an important question as well, "Would a catastrophic economic effect occur in the U.S., if most or all illegal immigrants were actually deported?" Most federal politicians and the Obama administration know the catastrophic economic impact it would cause the country, if in fact most or all illegal immigrants were deported.
Currently, three versions of a proposed immigration reform bill is being drafted by the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate and the Obama administration.
The November presidential election and the re-election of President Barack H. Obama who strongly campaigned for immigration reform for a second time is testiment of what is to come in the near future. He also received a majority of votes by U.S. Citizens who expect Obama to finally deal and resolve the immigration reform issue.
Even the GOP and most of the extreme conservative Republicans who were anti-immigrant have jumped on the bandwagon to support immigration reform in an attempt to sway a significant number of the Hispanic voting block to their corner for the upcoming 2016 presidential election.
One thing for sure Americans will see in 2013, that a just comprehensive immigration reform bill will most likely be introduced and will eventually pass by a bipartisan Congress, which no doubt President Obama will most likely sign it into law.

February 21, 2013

Okeechobee, FL - On Wednesday, both Virginia "Vicky" Terrazas, 32, of Palos Park, IL and Marisol Terrazas, 36, of Lemont, IL,  the lead singers for Los Horóscopos de Durango and a band member, Antonio Medina, 20, of Chicago, IL entered a plea of "No Contest" to multiple felony counts. A Okeechobee County Circuit judge sentenced the Terrazas sisters after being convicted and Medina to one year of probation each and community service under a plea agreement. Under the plea agreement, battery charges against Virginia and her boyfriend Medina were dropped. Both Marisol and Medina would have to complete their community service within 60 days, for Virginia within 120 days. As felons, they can not own firearms.
Marisol has to complete 25 hours of community service. She was facing 10 years in prison for two felony counts for inciting a riot and resisting arrest without violence.
Virginia received 50 hours of community service. She was facing 15 years in prison for three felonies counts for battery to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and inciting a riot. The battery charge Vicky was facing was dropped under the plea agreement. The Terrazas sisters were also ordered to write a letter of apology to the Okeechobee County Sheriff Deputies (officers) involved in the incident as one of their conditions of their plea agreement.
Medina will also do ten hours of community service. He was charged with two felony counts, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence. The battery charge against Medina was dropped. They will serve time in jail, if they violate their probation. Their community service will be serve where ever they desire to do it. They must keep in contact with their probation officer by mail.
On November 11, they were arrested and then freed the next day from the Okeechobee County jail after spending the night in jail and posting bail. The Terrazas' sisters were taken into custody for inciting a riot during a Mexican rodeo dance and event, according to the criminal complaint.
A scuffle broke out between a private security officer and a fan at the Agi-Civic Center when Los Horoscopos de Durango were performing their first song.
Marisol was arrested for shouting vulgarities to Deputies during a dance scuffle and Virginia for kicking a Deputy in the groin after he grabbed her while she attempted to keep Marisol from being detained. Medina was arrested for grabbing a Deputy, "at which the officer was sruck in the head with a can full of beer," Michele Bell, the Okeechobee County Sheriff Office Public Information Officer wrote in press release in November.
There were 1,600 people in attendance when a fight between hired private security personnel and a patron erupted. Sheriff Deputies stepped in to help security to break up the scuffle, according to the criminal complaint.
Marisol stopped singing and began to curse the officers over a loud speakers, which showed an immediate effect of aggressive behavior from the crowd. She was ordered to stop or she would be arrested. She dared the officers to come up on stage and arrest her.
Marisol from the stage told the Deputies and security to stop pushing and roughing up people (Mexicans) at the dance floor. A fan was tased by a security officer, triggering Marisol to insult the officers in both Spanish and English language vulgarities prompting Deputies to go up on stage and attempt to arrest Marisol, including her sister.
Fans then began to throw cans of beer and debris at Deputies on stage. The scuffle was video taped by fan.
Both Marisol and Virginia fled from the stage and were later apprehended in a vehicle while attempting to leave the area. The crowd exited the arena area and began to follow officers escorting the Terrazas' to a patrol car. The crowd also began to throw cans of beer, water bottles and drinks. At no time did either of the Terrazas sisters say or do anything to help stop or resolve the violent situation. A security officer was able to identify Luis Maldonado, as the suspect that hit an officer in the head with a can of beer, according to Bell. Maldonado, 25, of Port St. Lucie, FL was charged with aggravated battery to a law enforcement officer.
The incident brought several changes to the Agi-Civic Center. More security will be added during Mexican concerts or rodeo events. Beer will only be sold and served in paper cups instead of cans.

12-year-old Son of Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger Chief Allegedly Murdered

Photos depicts Balachandran Prabhakaran, 12, eating some chocolate while a Sri Lankan soldier keeps watch. Afterwards, a second photo shows the teen's body riddled with bullet wounds.

British-base documentary includes new evidence (photos) that the teenage son of Tamil Tiger chief was murdered.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 20, 2013

India - On Tuesday, several photos were released by the Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka providing clear evidence that Balachandran Prabhakaran, 12, had been executed by government troops on May 19, 2009, the last day of the nearly three decade war with Tamil Tiger rebels. Government officials had claimed in 2009 that the teen had been killed in cross fire in the battle field. He was the son of Velupillai Prabhakaran, founder and leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam who was reportedly killed in battle on the same day.
The photographs were included in a documentary as new evidence, which will be shown in Geneva next month at the same time the U.N. Human Rights Council meeting will take place. Callum Macrae, the British director of the Channel 4 documentary,  "No fire zone: The killing fields of Sri Lanka" wrote in an article in the Hindu, an Indian daily newspaper, that the photos show Balachandran was not killed in crossfire or in the battle field as the government claims. "...His death was deliberate and calculated," Macrae wrote.
Digital analysis indicate that the photos were taken by the same camera, in the time span of 1 hour and 45 minutes apart. One photo shows Balachandran alive, which was taken at 10:14 a.m. and then at 12:01 p.m. a photo shows his body riddled with five bullet wounds.
The Sri Lankan government denied Balachandran was ever murdered by soldiers. But a U.N. panel reported, that tens of thousands of civilians were killed in the final months of the war. Credible evidence indicate both the Sri Lankan government and the Tamil Tiger rebels committed atrocities, but the Rajapaksa regime who continues in control of the government committed most of the atrocities, according to the U.N. panel.
The Sri Lankan government has not allowed the U.N. to come in and investigate the atrocities.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Wednesday during a press conference condemned the cold blooded murder of Balachandran and wants those who committed "war crimes" brought to trial in an international court. “He was only 12 years. He was only a child. He did not commit any crime. As he was the son of Prabhakaran, the Sri Lankan army killed him,” Jayalalithaa said. She asked for the Indian government, the U.S. and other nations to begin discussions in an effort to come up with a U.N. resolution against the government of Sri Lanka and the Rajapaksa regime.Jayalalithaa also called for India and other nations to impose an economic embargo against Sri Lanka's government until the Tamils still being held in camps since the war ended are freed and allowed the same rights as those of the Sri Lankan population.

AGC released the following statement,  "Reports of the recent behavior of one of our business unit executives while on personal travel are offensive and disturbing. We have taken this matter very seriously and worked diligently to examine it since learning of the matter on Friday afternoon. As of Sunday, the executive is no longer employed with the company.
"We wish to emphasize that the behavior that has been described is contradictory to our values, embarrassing and does not in any way reflect the patriotic character of the men and women of diverse backgrounds who work tirelessly in our business."
According to the complaint, Jessica Bennett, 33, and her son Jonah were seating next to Hundley during their Delta flight. Jonah who was seating on Bennett's lap began to cry do to pressure change in his ears while the plane was descending.

Latest twist to alleged ethic violation charges against Milwaukee County Supervisor Romo West.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 15, 2013

Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Veronica Robinson, the executive director for the Milwaukee County Ethics Board (MCEB) confirmed, that no official "Order letter" had been released on Tuesday stating the MCEB dismissed charges against Supervisor Romo West with conditions as reported in the latest edition of the Spanish Journal dated February 13-20. Robinson denied the MCEB had release any letter or information regarding alleged ethics violation charges had been dismissed. The MCEB met last Tuesday in close session to decide what information should be released regarding an ethics code violation complaint filed against 12th District Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy Romo West by former candidate Sylvia Ortiz.
When contacted on Friday, Robert Miranda, the editor of the Spanish Journal (SJ) said, that he received an official MCEB looking letter from a source indicating it had dismissed four ethic code violation charges against Supervisor Romo West. The letter apparently is addressed to Supervisor Romo West, contained an official Milwaukee County logo and Robinson's signature as the executive director of the MCEB.
Miranda contacted Robinson about the letter, but Robinson couldn't confirm or denied it was released. Miranda believed it is official enough to report its contends in the latest Spanish Journal edition, claiming the MCEB exonerated Supervisor Romo West with conditions by indicating the board "found no guilt or that any violations occurred that warranted punitive actions against Supervisor Romo West," according to the SJ article.
The Order letter dated, February 12, stated "the MCEB makes no recommendation that the subject (Supervisor Romo West) of this investigation be censured, suspended or that any action be taken to remove the subject from office," the SJ article reported.
Miranda released the letter in question to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), but wouldn't release the source, if it was authentic or any information where he actually got it.
Last Monday, HNNUSA reported that the MECB found that Supervisor Romo West used her position to gain unlawful advantage during an election and using a County vehicle while campaigning. Ortiz, a former candidate for supervisor in the 12th Milwaukee County District confirmed to HNNUSA, that she was notified by Robinson that Romo West was found in violation of two ethic codes. Romo West used her position to gain unlawful benefits, advantage and privileges during an election; using a County vehicle while campaigning and using her Facebook account, including emailing account to advertise a fundraiser while at a committee meeting at the courthouse where the Milwaukee County Board has its offices.

Many Facebook users are falling for it and sharing it on their account. They are hoping the photo will actually deliver what it promises, but there is no link attach to it, one might notice. Chavez Admits He Is Not A $580 Millionaire In His Latest Facebook Post

Daniel Chavez

Chavez admitted in his latest Facebook post that he is not one of the $580M winners as he pretended to be in order to get attention from unknown Facebook users.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 11, 2013

Joliet, WI - On Monday, Daniel Chavez,  who led Facebook users to believe he was one of the $580M winners posted that, "F__k I thought I was the winner of the lottery for 580 million but I did only need three numbers to win, oh well I did win forty dollars on an instant ticket...."
Chavez in an earlier post offered to give 10 Facebook random users who posted his self-taken picture with a lottery ticket in his hand a whopping one million each. It becomes evident today, that he intentionally lied about being a Millionaire to get people to follow his Facebook account.
He says, that he worked at a Casino in California, now that he came out and admitted that he is not a Millionaire, it might jeopardize his job for actually lying to Facebook users seeking a quick and free buck.
Chavez will now have to live with himself and a big disappointment for those expecting to cash in on his hoax of giving one million.
Chavez is probably having a million laughs with his friends about fooling people that he was actually a Millionaire.
He sure received a lot of shares and more than 9,000 followers by deceiving Facebook users and it's a shame that other friends in his Facebook account that knew Chavez was fooling people didn't get to expose him earlier.
Will people continue to follow him, who knows? He really has nothing worthy to offer his followers, some might say and agree.
What do you think?
This Facebook user will unfollow Chavez!

El Sol Broadcasting Attempts To Censor News About MC Multiservicios Lawsuit During Nfoque Latino Radio Program

Operator of El Sol broadcasting has requested for Nfoque Latino, an independent Spanish speaking program at 1460 AM radio from providing any type of news concerning a lawsuit filed by 49 Plaintiffs against MC Multiservicios for keeping portions of their federal tax refunds.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 11, 2013

Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, Zonia Lopez, the director and radio host for Nfoque Latino, an independent and popular Spanish radio program at WJTI 1460 AM radio has confirmed, that John Torres, the owner of El Sol Broadcasting had requested for Nfoque Latino to stop or cease to continue to provide news casts from Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) about the MC Multiservicios lawsuit filed by 49 Plaintiffs alleging the local tax service kept portions of their federal tax refunds. Nfoque Latino is an informative and issue orientated program geared to the predominantly Hispanic community. The program airs one hour per day, five days a week at El Sol Broadcasting.
MC Multiservicios is also a client of El Sol Broadcasting and sponsors a radio program hosted by Attorney Victor Arellano. Arellano is representing both Jenny and Juan Contreras, owners of MC Multiservicios in the civil lawsuit.
Voces de la Frontera, an immigrant and workers rights organzation also airs a program on Saturdays at 1460 AM radio and MC Multiservicios also advertises in the program.
Staff members at El Sol Broadcasting alleged, Arellano and MC Multiservicios has threatened to pull their radio program and all media advertising from El Sol Broadcasting, if Nfoque Latino continued to broadcast news about the current lawsuit MC Multiservicios is facing.
Arellano or Contreras could not be reached on Monday for comment concerning the threat of pulling all advertising from El Sol Broadcasting, if Nfoque Latino continued to broadcast news about the filed lawsuit. When contacted last week, Contreras would not comment about the lawsuit and Arellano did not return a call to HNNUSA concerning the lawsuit. MC Multiservicios has 45 days to respond to a Milwaukee County court from the filing date of the lawsuit.
Also, Torres could not be reached for comment, whether he has censored any news casts related to the MC Multiservicios civil lawsuit at his station.
Everyday, before Nfoque Latino is aired, a disclaimer from El Sol Broadcasting announces that it is the sole opinion of Nfoque Latino for what ever is said during the program and not the opinion of the station.
On January 29, a major civil lawsuit was filed by the law firm of Stupar & Schuster, S.C. on behave of 49 plaintiffs claiming that MC Multiservicios, 1010 S. César E. Chávez Dr. a southside tax preparing service owned by Jenny and Juan Contreras kept some of their federal tax refunds. The plaintiffs claim in their complaint, that they were short changed between $100 to $680 totalling $11,973 in 2010 of their 2009 tax refunds by the Contreras.
The lawsuit claims, that Jenny and Juan Contreras engaged in theft and "intentionally retained a portion of said tax refunds without the Plaintiff's consent." The Contreras filed the Plaintiffs federal tax returns electronically and the IRS refunded an amount that was then deposited in the MC Multiservicios bank account. Then MC Multiservicios made checks in different amounts from their own bank account and gave them to their clients who are now Plaintiffs in the complaint.
The Plaintiffs paid for the tax preparation service and were unaware that the Contreras were keeping a hefty portion of their federal tax refunds without their consent, according to the lawsuit.
In September, Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) first reported the MC Multiservicios tax withholding theft claims that were made by the Plaintiffs. The Contreras at that time would not comment about the allegations made by their clients who claimed that a portion of their tax refunds were kept after using the tax service.

Colombo, Sri Lanka - P.W. Kodippili, Sri Lanka's Prison Commissioner confirmed to media outlets that last week an inmate identified only as G. Siripala, 58, had a cellphone and two hands-free head sets removed from his rectum at the Colombo National Hospital. Siripala was in the hospital for two days and returned to the Welikade Maximum Prison.
Siripala had a cellphone and two hands-free head sets smuggled into prison. Last week, he was using the cellphone, when a surprised search for drugs, weapons and contraband was initiated by guards in his cell block. Having no place to hide it at the moment, Siripala immediately inserted the cellphone and the head sets into his rectum.
While the guards search the inmate's cell, the person who Siripala had abruptly disconnected the call apparently called back and the guards heard a cellphone ringing coming from Siripala's butt. The inmate was taken to the hospital.
Doctors took an x-ray and notice the cellphone and the headsets in Siripala's rectum. He explained to the doctors what had happen. The cellphone and headsets were then removed.
Kodippilli told media outlets that the prison system is in the process of getting body and parcel scanners to prevent further smuggling of phones into the prison. A cellphone signal block has been installed at the prison.
In November, at least 27 inmates at Welikade Prison were killed during a prison takeover sparked by guards and the military going into the prison doing a cell by cell search for drugs and cellphones. The prison holds about 4,500 inmates.

WRC Report Determined Palermo Inc. Manipulated ICE Audit To Prevent Unionization At Pizza Plant

WRC independent report indicates Palermo Inc. engaged in illegal practice by manipulating an immigration audit to prevent workers from forming a union at their Milwaukee Menomonee Valley pizza plant.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 6, 2013

Milwaukee,  WI - On Wednesday,  Voces de la Frontera (VDLF), an immigrant and worker rights non-profit organization announced in a press release that a new report released today by the independent Workers Rights Consortium (WRC), a labor rights monitoring organization found that Palermo's Pizza engaged in an illegal, ongoing anti-union campaign at their Milwaukee frozen pizza factory.
The WRC report provides new details of the specific violations of federal law found by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in its complaint against the company, and concludes that Palermo Inc. violated U.S. and international laws, as well as a University of Wisconsin labor code to which Palermo's is a party, according to VDLF.
Palermo Inc. engaged in and;

● violated federal labor law when it used an immigration audit as pretext to retaliate against workers' exercise of freedom of association.
● hostility to unionization was the motivating factor governing their threatening and retaliatory behavior towards employees.
● violated federal labor law when it permanently replaced some 30 striking workers who were not asked to reverify their work documents.
● violated UW-Madison's code of conduct governing a licensing agreement with Roundy's.
● engaged in a pattern of illegal "unfair labor practices" that were calculated to coerce workers from exercising their rights.
VDLF says, most significantly, the authors of the report found "substantial evidence" showing that "Palermo used an audit by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as a pretext to terminate, on June 8, 2012, approximately 75 striking workers."
The WRC report also found that Palermo Inc. violated a standardized code of conduct employed by many of its affiliated universities, including UW-Madison, as part of their licensing agreements, known as the Collegiate Licensing Company's Special Agreement Regarding Labor Codes of Conduct, or "CLC Code of Conduct."
Over 180 colleges and universities, including UW-Milwaukee and UW-Madison, are affiliated with the WRC, which is recognized as an independent and trusted arbiter when determining whether manufacturers and sub-contractors, especially those whose products bear a university brand or logo, have violated a university or college's labor code of conduct.
In conclusion,  the WRC report provided the following recommendations:

● "Reinstate the workers whom Palermo terminated or permanently replaced between June 2 and 8, 2012;"
● "Provide full back pay to the approximately 105 fired employees from the date of termination to the date of reinstatement;"
● "Recognize the results of a union membership verification exercise, conducted by a neutral third-party, to test the union's claim, as made on May 29, 2012, to represent a majority of the facility's workers" and;
● "Issue a statement to the workforce that affirms, among other things, the employees' right to unionize and that Palermo management will not interfere with this choice."
VDLF has filed an appeal with the NLRB in Washington, D.C. challenging the Milwaukee NLRB decision that it could not determine, if Palermo Inc. used an ICE audit to terminate employees involved in trying to form a union at their plant. VDLF has argued that Palermo manipulated an ICE audit to terminate 105 employees to avoid a union at the pizza manufacturing plant.

Obama's Gun Control Rehashes Katrina 2005 Weapon Confiscation By National Guard

NRA video reported how New Orleans Police and National Guard confiscated weapons from law abiding citizens after the Hurricane Katrina and floods.

By H. Nelson Goodson
February 4, 2013

New Orleans,  LA - A YouTube video posted in 2009, created by the National Rifle Association (NRA) depicts how police and the national guard went door to door in the region to confiscate weapons from law abiding citizens under orders of local, state and federal officials to create gun free zones. Which left citizens unarmed to protect themselves from looters and criminals.
The video title "NRA Never Again" began to go viral recently when a push for more gun control laws are being sought by politicians and President Barack H. Obama.
People have said, the government would never take our weapons. Well, they did!
Victims of gun confiscation gave testimony on how the government officials and law enforcers illegally confiscated their weapons and were given no paper work to recover them later. Some of the weapons were even destroyed in front of them without reason.
One elderly victim while being filmed at her home was subdued by police and her handgun was taken while she was force out of her residence.
Until to date, no accountability of weapons confiscated during the Katrina disaster has been made or if state and federal prosecutors ever prosecuted anyone for confiscating the hundreds of weapons during the Katrina disaster.
Will the government and Obama administration confiscate weapons from law abiding citizens again? You'll be the judge!
The NRA filed several federal lawsuits on behave of some of the victims whose guns were confiscated Illegally. A judge ruled on their favor and ordered New Orleans Police to return the weapons they had confiscated to gunowners. But some gunowners never got their guns.

Federal and state police in both the state of Nuevo León and Coahuila are on the verge of cracking the case that has made a local vallenato and cumbia style band famous worldwide after the 17 band and crew members were kidnapped and executed. All the members of the Kombo Kolombia band whose bodies were dumped in a well at the abandon Estacas ranch in the town of Mina have been identified.
On January 24, the band was playing at La Carreta bar on the outskirts of the municipality of Hidalgo for a private party of 50 people when a group of ten armed men entered the bar and kidnapped all the members of the band at gun point. The gunmen in multiple vehicles drove around for four hours until they reached an abandon ranch where the band members were tortured and then murdered.
During the killing, one of the band members managed to escaped early Friday and was able to notify family members and authorities.
Within hours, authorities found the ranch and the well where the bodies were dumped. The gunmen had fled, but left an abandon vehicle with a license plate from Nuevo Laredo believed to have been used to transport the victims.
The band member who escaped has not been identified, but has been taken out of state and placed under protective custody. The surviving band member is providing vital information about the identities of the gunmen involved in the massacre.
Family members tried to locate the victims on January 25, but their cell phones were not working. When family members went to look for them at the bar where they were playing, they found their vehicles outside the bar and all the band instruments had disappeared from inside the bar, except some items, a song booklet, microphones and speakers.
Nuevo León authorities released the names of the Kombo Kolombia Vallenato style band whose bodies have been identified.
