Joseph and Sanchez Advance To MPS Board General Election

Two Hispanics will face off in the April General Election for the Milwaukee Public School Board.

Milwaukee,  WI - On Tuesday, both Angel Sánchez and Tatiana Joseph were the two highest vote getters allowing them to advance to the April 2, General Election eliminating Jaime Alvarado from the 6th Milwaukee School Board District election race. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Joseph with 415 votes, Sánchez received 239 votes and Alvarado with 95 votes.
Joseph is a former teacher and recently graduated from UW-Milwaukee. She has a Doctorate and a Master's degree from UW-Milwaukee. Joseph is also an active member of the Southside Organizing Committee.
Sánchez is a former alderman for 12th District and owns his own construction company.
Alvarado is a real estate investor and a member of the League of United Latin American Citizens of Wisconsin (LULAC).
In another race, both Pat Roggensack and Ed Fallone will advance in the state Supreme Court race. Roggensack is the incumbent.
