Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, an estimated 7,000 festivalgoers attended the one-day 4th Annual Puerto Rican Family Fest 2016 at Humboldt Park, according to Victor Huyke, the CEO of Conquistador, LLC and Publisher of El Conquistador Newspaper. Huyke was the main sponsored of the festival and his company became the umbrella for the Puerto Rican Fest Team composed by Cecil Negron, a well known local musician, Yuseff Morales, Andres Guzmán and Rebeca Montalvo.
This year Nabori, a popular Salsa band closed the event with a grand finale. Orquesta Salsoul de Mad and other groups also entertained the crowds. A motorcycle and car show attracted the custom car enthusiasts to Humboldt Park.
No alcohol or beer was sold at the festival, but a variety of refreshments and food vendors were available at the event.
Last year, the PR Fest attracted an estimated 5,000 festivalgoers. The PR Fest continues to expand and its success is attributed to Morales and Huyke's organizing skills and dedication to celebrate their Puerto Rican culture in the city.
No incidents at the PR Fest were reported on Sunday by police or the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
