Handcuffed Indiana Afro-American Man In Squad Car Backseat Shot By Evansville Police

A disturbing video posted in social media shows an Indiana police officer shooting an Afro-American man with a taser while handcuffed in the backseat of a squad car.

Evansville, Indiana - A posted social media video by Media Take Out dot com (MTO) shows an unidentified Afro-American man getting shot with a taser in the back of an Evansville police squad car while handcuffed at a local gas station. A uniformed officer immediately tries to intimidate the person who was video recording the incident. The witnesses can be heard telling the officer why did he shot the man, the officer responded that he didn't do anything and asked for their ID. The officer than gives the witnesses his card when they asked for it.
Another plainclothes officer tries to grab the cellphone, so the person with the cellphone stops recording.
In the video, a taser shot is heard and the wounded man cries out in pain that he was shot in the stomach. A bleeding wound is shown in his stomach. According to MTO, police claimed that the detained man was shot with a taser dart and were attempting to cover-up the shooting.
The extend of the injuries of the victim or his arrest has not been confirmed by Evansville police. No press release about the incident has been issued yet by police.
The video was posted on social media on June 28.
