Waukesha, WI - Police are searching for Eddie Donald Callaway, 26, in connection with Monday's night homicide of Shanel. A. "Nani" Negron, 24, originally from Bronx, New York. Negron was fatally shot in the head by Callaway outside her home in the intersection of Summit Ave. and Moreland Blvd. around 7:15 p.m., according to police. Negron was shot twice and died at the scene.
She worked for Chartwells, a Carroll University contract food service provider.
A temperary restraining order (TRO) for domestic abuse was filed in February against Callaway, and the injunction was granted until 2017, according to court records. Callaway was restricted by owning or having a weapon while the TRO order is in effect.
Callaway is believed to be driving a 2002 Ford gray Taurus. Police release a mugshot of Callaway. He might have fled the state. Callaway has family in Indiana.
Callaway will be included in the U.S. Marshals Service most wanted list on Tuesday, according to Waukesha Police Chief Russell Jack.
Negron is survived by her 3-year-old daughter. Her daughter was not at the scene, but is safe, Jack confirmed.
