President Obama Officially Nominated John Kerry As Secretary of State

U.S. Senator John F. Kerry was nominated by President Obama to be the next Secretary of State.

Washington, D.C. - On Friday, President Barack H. Obama officially nominated U.S. Senator John F. Kerry (D-Massachusetts) as the next Scretary of State. Kerry has over 30 years experience in foreign affairs and is expected to be approved quickly, according to Obama.
Kerry will replace Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton as soon as he gets approved by Congress.
Kerry, if approved will become the 68th Secretary of State and a powerful Cabinate member in Obama's administration. 
Kerry tried to be nominated as the Democratic presidential candidate in 2004.
