ALIPAC To Suspend Illegal Immigration Enforcement Operations For Lack Of Funding

Anti-immigrant organization that advocates for illegal immigration enforcement plans to suspend operations for lack of funds

March 29, 2010

Raleigh, NC (HNNUSA) -On Monday, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) announced it would suspend their campaign operations against the approval of the U.S. Congressman Luis Gutierrez Immigration Reform bill. ALIPAC has until March 31, to reach their goal of $30,000, which are short by $7,000.
"Unfortunately, we must suspend our efforts fighting against the current Amnesty legislation brewing in Washington, our efforts to arrange national counter protests against the illegal alien march, and efforts to identify and support candidates that agree with you on immigration issues, to focus all of our attention on our current funds drive.
Only 48 hours remain and we still must raise over $7,000 by midnight on March 31st. ALIPAC has never failed to reach our minimal operations budget goals before in the five year history of our organization. We need a very strong flood of donations immediately," William Gheen, President and Spokesperson of ALIPAC announced in a massive email output to its membership.
ALIPAC is the strong avocate voice for its membership (mostly Republican conservatives) to pressure the U.S. government to enforce current immigration laws and control illegal immigration.
On March 21, more than 200,000 of Latinos and non Latinos gathered in Washington D.C. for the "March for America" Rally to draw attention to the much needed Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity (CIR ASAP) Act of 2009, H.R 4321 bill submitted by U.S Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-Dem.) bill in December.
ALIPAC had previously announced their united counter movement with the ultra conservative Republican Tea Party in April, against the March for America, a pro-immigration march. Apparently the united effort by both anti-immigrant groups is expected to be cancel, according to Gheen.
Congress just went on a two week Spring recess and the U.S. Senate failed to submit their own Immigration Reform version, which most likely mean it won't debate the issue this year. Legislators, especially Democrats wil have difficult time to get re-elected after approving Health Care and to deal with Immigration Reform another controversial issue could actually mark their faith of not getting re-elected, according to political and immigration analysts.
As a counter measure to create awareness, mobility activism among Latinos, and to help boost the Immigration Reform movement, a stronge message by H. Nelson Goodson, an Immigration Reform activist from Wisconsin was sent out nationally before March 21, for "Hispanics to boycott spending in the U.S economy, by limiting their spending to bare essentials only. Limit spending equals Immigration Reform." The U.S. Economic Boycott would for the first time in history allow U.S. Hispanics to manage their economic buying power, which began on March 21st and lasts until a fair comprehensive Immigration Reform bill is passed.
Every individual and especially Latinos/as are aware of the spending and buying economic power (projected U.S Hispanic $1.3 trillion buying power by 2013) they do have in the U.S. The national shout out or call for action is for everyone who would like to sent a strong message to the U.S. Congress and President Barack H. Obama that we do count in this country and we are very much a part of it, Goodson added.

Mexico To Use eTrace For Weapons In Spanish From U.S.

Weapons seized by Mexican military police from the Michoacan Familia Cartel

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 28, 2010

Mexico -The U.S. government announced it will expand their eTrace system use in Mexico. The system traces the origin of confiscated weapons used by criminal organizations. In 2008, the eTrace technology was installed in nine U.S. Consulates in Mexico to help trace weapons confiscated from the mexican drug cartels in both countries.
The recent Mexican drug war escalation along the U.S. - Mexican borders has forced President Barack H. Obama to reaffirm his commitment to help Mexican President Felipe Calderon's efforts to stamp out the drug cartels in his country. The Spanish version of the eTrace technology will now be used by the Mexican government in its 31 states, according to the U.S. government.
Last Tuesday, Hillary Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State was in Mexico city and announced that the White House had unveiled a $700 million strategy that includes boosting security on the border, moves to stem the flow of illegal guns and drug profits from the U.S. into Mexico and steps to cut domestic drug consumption.
Clinton said, "the Obama administration is working with the U.S. Congress, to also fund $80 million to help Mexico buy Blackhawk helicopters, to help Mexican police respond aggressively and successfully to the threats coming from the cartels."
The U.S. is working to establish a port of exit check points at all U.S. border exits to combat the export of weapons and other dangerous items. Today no exit check points exists, unless border authorities have been tipped off about contraband being smuggled out of the U.S.
Mexican customs have a port of entry check point at every border crossing, but corruption and drug cartel money influence officials to overlook illegal weapons entering Mexico.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), eTrace technology eTrace technology bolsters the capacity of law enforcemen agencies to identify patterns of drug traffickers and other criminal organizations bringing guns into Mexico from the United States. In addition, eTrace assists criminal investigators to develop leads and prosecute firearms traffickers and straw purchasers (people who knowingly purchase guns for prohibited persons) even before they cross the border, according to ATF.

Maricopa Sheriff Deputies Raided Four McDonald's And Arrested 21 Suspected Illegal Workers

(File photo)

Four McDonald's restaurants raided for hiring illegal workers

March 27, 2010

Phoenix, Arizona (HNNUSA)- On Friday, Maricopa deputy sheriff's raided four McDonald's restaurants and arrested 21 suspected illegal workers, according to Sheriff Joe Arpaio. A tip was received by the sheriffs office about five months ago and the investigation began after the tipster notified authorities several illegal workers were employed at several local McDonald's.
When deputies ran the names of numerous employees in federal databases, they found about 51 suspected illegal workers. They arrested 21 in Scottdale, Tempe and in Mesa, and are trying to locate 30 others. They are facing identity thief charges.
Sheriff deputies also extended their search for illegal workers to a mansion in Paradise Valley owned by Richard Coulston, the owner of the McDonald's restaurants. He was not detained, but is facing fines and possible business license revocation for knownly hiring undocumented workers. Coulston's attorney says, McDonald's has a standard practice to verify the legal status of workers.
Deputies were enforcing a two year old county law that prohibits local employers from hiring illegal workers.

Maricopa County Stats to Date Under the State law
Arrests by Sheriff’s deputies of persons transporting or being transport llegally into Arizona: 1,954

Under the Federal law
Arrests by Sheriff’s deputies who, in the course of their duties, determine the arrestee is in Arizona illegally: 1,919

ICE “Holds”
Each inmate booked is interviewed for immigration status. Sheriff’s detention officers have turned over 32,943 illegal immigrants to Immigration authorities for deportation.

On Saturday, in a statement released by U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (U.S.ICE) concerning deportations, "ICE is required by Congress to submit annual performance goals as part of the budgetary process and our longstanding focus remains on smart, effective immigration enforcement that places priority first on those dangerous criminal aliens who present risk to the security of our communities.
This focus has yielded real results – between FY2008 and FY2009, criminal deportations increased by 19% and this priority continues in FY10 with 40% more criminal aliens removed to date as compared to the same period last year.
We are strongly committed to carrying out our priorities to remove serious criminal offenders first and we definitively do not set quotas," U.S.ICE Assistant Secretary John Morton said.

Additional facts Criminal removals/ returns increased by almost 22,000 between FY2008 and FY2009.

Overall, criminal and non-criminal removals/ returns increased by 5% between FY2008 and FY2009, while criminal removals/ returns alone ncreased by 19%.

This year, ICE's Arizona Office of Detention and Removal Operations expects to deport more than 22,000 undocumented Central Americans, double the number of removals recorded in 2006. U.S. ICE announced this month that it's building a 25,000 sqaure foot facility in Mesa's airport to handle massive deportations.
The facility wil be operated by ICE Detention and Removal Operations (DRO), and the new Arizona Removal Operations Coordination Center (AROCC) located at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, will house 79 ICE employees and up to 157 temporary detainees who are awaiting removal to countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
"As ICE continues to increase its capacity to remove aliens from the United States, the AROCC will provide us with the space and resources we need to complete our mission quickly and efficiently," said ICE Arizona Field Office Director Katrina S. Kane.
More than 1,000 of undocumented immigrants are being deported per day (387,790 per year) under President Barack Obama's administration (400,000 families with U.S. citizen members are being destroyed by deportations according to the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights), compared to almost 650 daily deportations (240,000 per year) under former President George W. Bush (Source: La Jornada Morelos, 3/9/2010) Eventhough, Bush committed himself for Immigration Reform and the Repulican majority in the U.S. Congress failed to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
On March 21, more than 200,000 of Latinos and non-Latinos gathered in Washington D.C. for the "March for America" Rally to draw attention to the much needed Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity (CIR ASAP) Act of 2009, H.R. 4321 bill submitted by U.S Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-Dem.) bill in December.
That same weekend, other protests in Washington drew more attention because organizers concentrated on both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Also, the historic passage of the Health Care Reform bill overshadowed the Immigration Reform Movement. The Immigration reform march received little or no coverage by the mainstream media, who were making front page headlines and the national television news networks were breaking the news about the approval of Health Care Reform.
The passage of federal Health Care created a division among the U.S. population, which resulted in death threats for Congressional members who are seeking re-election in November. Even the Federal Bureau of Investigation has launched a probe into the threats reported by federal legislators, who are mostly Democrats that approved Health Care.
Congress just went on a two week Spring recess and the U.S. Senate failed to submit their own Immigration Reform version, which most likely mean it won't debate the issue this year. Legislators, especially Democrats will have difficult time to get re-elected after approving Health Care and to deal with Immigration Reform, another controversial issue could actually mark their faith of not getting re-elected, according to political and immigration analysts.
As a counter measure to create awareness, mobility, activism among Latinos, and to help boost the Immigration Reform movement, a stronge message by H. 5 Million Offered By U.S. Government For Information Leading To The Arrest Of 6 Drug Cartel Kingpins

The U.S. Department of State is offering up to $5 million for information leading to the capture of Omar Trevino Morales, Juan Reyes Mejia Gonzalez, Mario Ramirez Trevino, Gilberto Barragan Balderas, Jesus Enrique Rejon Aguilar, and Samuel Flores Borrego.

March 25, 2010

Washington D.C. (HNNUSA) – On Wednesday, the U.S. Treasury released the following press release designating multiple Mexican nationals as drug cartel kingpins. On the heels of Tuesday's U.S.-Mexico Merida High Level Consultative Group meeting in Mexico City, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today designated 54 Mexican principal lieutenants and enforcers for Mexico's Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas – groups that are responsible for much of the current bloodshed in Mexico –as Specially Designated Narcotics Traffickers pursuant to the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act (Kingpin Act).  Both the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas were previously identified by the President as significant foreign narcotics traffickers under the Kingpin Act. Today's action builds on the unprecedented efforts of Mexico and the United States to target Mexican drug trafficking organizations and protect citizens on both sides of the border.  U.S. persons are prohibited from conducting financia or commercial transactions with the designees and any assets that the designated individuals may have under U.S. jurisdiction are frozen.
"The United States remains deeply committed to collaborating with Mexican authorities and President Calderon's unwavering efforts to end the brutality imposed by these ruthless criminal organizations," said OFAC Director Adam J Szubin. "The Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas have terrorized innocent people in Tamaulipas and throughout Mexico. Today's action amplifies Treasury's ongoing efforts to target the support networks of drug organizations worldwide and to deny these criminals access to the international financial sector."
Today's action targets the narcotics traffickers, assassins, money launderers, and enforcers that comprise the support network and underpinnings of the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas.  Many of the individuals designated today control the drug trafficking activities in cities and towns largely in the Mexican states of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon, but also elsewhere throughout Mexico.
In June 2009, 11 of today's designees were indicted for narcotics trafficking in the U.S District Court for the District of Columbia:   Jaime Gonzalez Duran, Samuel Flore Borrego, Mario Ramirez Trevino, Alfredo Rangel Buendia, Gilberto Barragan Balderas, Juan Reyes Mejia Gonzalez, Omar Trevino Morales, Jesus Enrique Rejon Aguilar, Eleazar Medina Rojas, Aurelio Cano Flores, and Sigifredo Najera Talamantes.
Other individuals designated today who have faced federal indictments for violating U.S. narcotics laws include Dimas Gonzalez Rodriguez, Victor Manuel Vasquez Mireles, and Rogelio Gonzalez Pizana.
The President identified the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas as significant foreign narcotics traffickers under the Kingpin Act in 2007 and 2009, respectively.  In July 2009, OFAC designated the four principal leaders of the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas. Today's action is the latest in a series of efforts by OFAC to thwar Mexico's drug cartels. The Gulf Cartel is responsible for smuggling and distributing significant amounts of cocaine and marijuana to the United States. Historically, Los Zetas were considered to be the enforcement arm of the Gulf Cartel, but now it operates independently and is waging a fierce battle to control lucrative drug routes.
In March 2009, Mexico's Office of the Attorney General announced rewards ranging from $1.2 million (15,000,000 pesos) to $2.4 million (30,000,000 pesos) per individual for information leading to the arrest of certain principal members of the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, who have been designated today by OFAC, including Omar Trevino Morales, Ivan Velasquez Caballero, Gregorio Sauceda Gamboa, Flavio Mendez Santiago, Sergio Enrique Ruiz Tlapanco, Lucio Hernandez Lechuga, and Sigifredo Najera Talamantes.   Gregorio Sauceda Gamboa, Sigifredo Najera Talamantes, and Sergio Enrique Ruiz Tlapanco are among those that have been captured by Mexican authorities since March 2009.
Today's action is due in part to OFAC's cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and DEA's Special Operations Division and is part of ongoing efforts under the Kingpin Act to apply financial measures against significan foreign narcotics traffickers worldwide. Internationally, more than 600 foreign narcotics traffickers worldwide businesses and individuals associated with 82 drug kingpins, 37 of which are based in Mexico, have been designated pursuant to the Kingpin Act since June 2000. Penalties for violations of the Kingpin Act range from civil penalties of up to $1.075 million per violation to more severe criminal penalties.
Criminal penalties for corporate officers may include up to 30 years in prison and fines of up to $5 million.  Criminal fines for corporations may reach $10 million. Other individuals face up to 10 years in prison for criminal violation of the Kingpin Act and fines pursuant to Title 18 of the United States Code.

DeBraska, Former Police Association President Sentenced To 6 Months In Jail

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 24, 2010

Milwaukee - On Tuesday, March 23, Bradley DeBraska, 53, former Milwaukee Police Association President was sentenced to 6 months in the House of Correction after he was convicted last August on two felony counts, one count of forgery and one count of identity theft. DeBraska also got huber privileges for work, allowed to do community services, and also will be allowed to get mental health and medical treatment. He must also pay for court costs and must begin serviing his sentenced on April 5, according to court records. DeBraska was facing 12 years in prison.
DeBraska said during sentencing that he was sorry, and his decision to commit forgery and felony conviction resulted in losing his reputation in the community, and has led to mental and health problems today.
DeBraska retired in 2005 from the Milwaukee Police Department. He was once considered an influential figure within the ranks of the Milwaukee Police Department. He was a police officer for 27 years, including 17 as union president.
The criminal complaint stated that DeBraska ordered his union secretary Candy Johnson in July 2004 to fabricate a memo he dictated word by word pretending to be a 1999 memo from former Common Council President John Kalwitz to city labor negotiator Frank Forbes. Johnson testified that DeBraska had told her to “take this to the grave.”
Kalwitz during trial testified he did not write or signed the memo. “Potentially millions in public money was affected by this document. This is serious business,” said John Chisholm, Milwaukee County District Attorney in August.
The city wanted to used money from a pension fund, but the police union challenged their attempt to used more then $2 million to $3 million from the pension fund to upgrade pension computers. The city said it did not have a cap on spending, but DeBraska fabricated a memo saying that Kalwitz had agreed to a cap with “the ceiling of 3 million for ERS computer costs.”

Republicans Vowed To Block Or Kill Any Immigration Reform Bill In 2010

March 23, 2010

Washington D.C. (HNNUSA) -U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham confirmed, if Health Care Reform passed, Republicans will kill any chance to pass an Immigration Reform bill in 2010. Well, the Healthcare bill did pass on Sunday by 219-212 as expected, and will be signed into law by U.S. President Barack H. Obama on Tuesday.
What action should Latinos take after Sunday's historic approval of Health Care Reform, and the threat by Republicans to block Immigration Reform for 2010? A U.S. economic boycott has been called by Immigration Reform activist H. Nelson Goodson. Goodson said, "Latinos and supporters for Immigration Reform began to limit their spending on Sunday, to buying bare essentials only, as an option for Latinos to manage their economic power and push for Immigration Reform." The boycott should last until an Immigration Reform bill gets approved and signed into law by President Obama.
Consumer Reports is projecting Hispanics buying power to reach $1.3 trillion by 2013. It's time for Latinos to manage their economic power!
Other accomplishments: last Sunday, more than 200,000 Latinos marched and gathered at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., according to March for America organizers.
In 2006, Latinos marched by the millions for Immigration Reform, and at least over 3-4 million people united, and organized throughout the nation. Latinos were able to create networks among Hispanic organizations, businesses, labor unions, interfaith groups, and the get out to vote campaign elected a majority of Democrats to both houses in the U.S. Congress in 2006.
In 2008, Latinos were instrumental in electing the first African-American as President, Barack H. Obama.

Wanted Suspect Fatally Shot In The Back By Milwaukee Police, Family Alleged

Family members of the wanted suspect killed by police alleged he was shot in the back multiple times and could not have pointed a gun at officers

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 20, 2010

Milwaukee - Last Friday, Jonathan Rodriguez-Muñiz, 21, was fatally shot by Milwaukee Police after he pointed a gun at them as they attempted to arrest him for outstanding warrants, according to a press release from the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD). Rodriguez-Muñiz died at the scene.
Family members said Saturday, Rodriguez-Muñiz's sister had identified the body and was told her brother had a bullet wound in the back of head, 1 bullet wound in the back, and two other bullet wounds in the buttocks. The family is now challenging police accounts of what actually happened. They are requesting an inquest investigation into his death, and alleged that Rodriguez-Muñiz could not have pointed the gun at the officers because he was shot multiple times in the back, contrary to police accounts.
The Milwaukee Coroner's Office has yet to confirm Rodriguez-Muñiz's family members allegations he had been shot in the back.
The MPD press release stated the incident happened at about 11 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010. Milwaukee Police received information that Rodriguez-Muñiz who was wanted on multiple warrants was at a residence in the 1500 block of S. 9th St. Police had received information that he had made statements to others indicating he would kill police, if they tried to arrest him.
As officers approached the house, Rodriguez-Muñiz ran from the house and officers pursued him on foot through the several yards in the South side neighborhood. At one point, Rodriguez-Muñiz fell and a gun fell from his person. He retrieved the gun and pointed it at officers. After refusing multiple commands from officers to drop the gun, and fearing for their safety and the safety of others in the area, the officers discharged their weapons fatally striking Rodriguez-Muñiz multiple times. A weapon was found nearby Rodriguez-Muñiz body.
Investigators say, the weapon was never fired at police. A witness says, he saw Rodriguez-Muñiz point the gun at police and he was then shot in the chest.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office will review the fatal shooting incident, according to police investigators.
Rodriguez-Muñiz has multiple outstanding warrants, including a felony warrant for a shooting, intimidation of a witness, disorderly conduct, domestic violence, and bail jumping.
The two officers who discharged their weapons were in uniform and are assigned to Police District 2. The officers, both male, are a 30-year-old with nearly seven years of service, and a 28-year-old with nearly 10 years of service (that includes his time as a Police Aide), according to the press release.
Both officers involved in Rodriguez-Muñiz death have been assigned to administrative duty, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Largest H-D Sportster Made Of Solid Chocolate Found In Kenosha

Kenosha, WI (HNNUSA)- The largest Harley-Davidson solid chocolate Sportster motorcycle was found being exhibited near the Illinois-Wisconsin border on I-94. The chocolate bike is considered the biggest and sweetest motorcycle in the Badger state. H. Nelson Goodson discovered the bike on the second level of Uke's Harley-Davidson in Kenosha collecting dust.
"I just wondered to the upper level of Uke's to check out the clearance section on Saturday afternoon, then I saw the huge actual size of a Sportster motorcycle made of solid chocolate I've ever seen, and the aroma of chocolate actually made me want to take a bite out of it," Goodson said. Goodson who rides a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is the co-founder of the Independent Riders (a motorcycle riding group) from Milwaukee. On second thought, "It might taste a little bitter, since it was made around May 2004 for the Burlington Annual ChocolateFest," Goodson added.
For those who have a sweet tooth, and are passing through the area in Wisconsin where the chocolate Bike is exhibited, you can visit the 2nd level of Uke's Kenosha Harley-Davidson at no cost to see. You might even get away with a sneak bite or lick it for a taste, but you might pay the consequences later and end up in the men's or ladies room all day, Lol.

17 Charged In Suspected Juarez Cartel Drug Conspiracy And Money Laundering In Wisconsin

FBI SWAT, file photo

Feds seeking one suspect who remains at large

Milwaukee (HNNUSA)- On Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney's office in a press release, confirmed multiple suspects have been arrested at the 3000 block of W. Lincoln Ave. in the South side of Milwaukee. United States Attorney James L. Santelle said, that on Tuesday 17 individuals were arrested and had been charged in a criminal complaint with drug-trafficking of cocaine, marijuana, and money laundering offenses.
The suspects are believed to be connected with the Juarez Cartel and its drug trafficking operations in the U.S. On March 14, a U.S. Consulate worker, her husband and a Mexican national working for the consulate in Juarez were gunned down in separate shooting incidents after leaving a children's birthday party by suspected La Linea and Los Azteca gangs hired as hitmen (sicarios) for the Juarez Cartel. The victims were identified as Lesley A. Enriquez, 25, a consulate employee, and her husband, Arthur H. Redelf, 30, from El Paso, Texas. The third victim was identified as Jorge Alberto Salcido Ceniceros, 37, and the U.S. Department of State send out a mandatory order for U.S. government personnel to move their families out of the border cities of Tijuana, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Monterrey and Matamoros until April 12. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has launched an investigation and are working with Mexican authorities to solve the homicides.
This week, more than 50 members of Los Aztecas gang affiliated with the Juarez Cartel have been arrested in El Paso by federal, state and local authorities. The operative was targeted to only gang members with prior criminal records, for the purpose of interrogating the suspects about the homicides of a U.S. Consulate worker, her husband and another man in Juarez. Federal authorities are trying to locate Eduardo "Tablas" Ravelo, the leader of Los Aztecas who is suspected of ordering the hit on the consulate worker and those associated with the U.S. Consulate in Juarez.
Federal authorities are now trying to determined, if the suspects arrested on Tuesday in the Juarez to Wisconsin drug trafficking bust have ties to the Juarez Cartel. Most of the alleged cocaine and marijuana originated in Juarez, was smuggled and transported to El Paso, Texas and eventually ended up in Milwaukee, according to federal authorities.
The defendants were identified as: Ruben Gaona, 28, Asencion Gaona,30, Jaime Alarcon, 30, David Villalobos, 40, Sergio A. Garcia Dorantes, 25, Faustino Jaramillo-Ugarte, 24, Maria Jaramillo, 28, Maria E. Alarcon, 30, Delores Reyes Kennedy, 46, Aracely Gaona, 24, Maricela Gaona, 27, Gricel Solis, 26, Miriam Salas, 29, Cynthia G. Reyes-DeReyes, 28, Juan Reyes, 26, Norma Bautista, 26, and Soccorro Lopez, 29.
On March 16, 2010, law enforcement officers from the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Texas Department of Public Safety, El Paso, Texas Office, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives (ATF), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), United States Marshals Service, and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety arrested sixteen of the seventeen defendants. Defendant Sergio Garcia Dorantes is still at large.
Children were also at the residence when the feds made the arrests, and they were taken to the Milwaukee County Child Services for their safety and care.
The complaint alleges that many of the defendants regularly transported multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine and marijuana from El Paso, Texas, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, through Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The suspects promoted the drug conspiracy, and particular defendants wired and transported the cash proceeds back to Texas after exchanging huge quantities of $20's into $100 bills at casinos.
According to United States Attorney James L. Santelle, “These charges are the result of an aggressive, multi-state, coordinated approach to eradicate drug trafficking organizations from the streets of Milwaukee, down to – and across – the border. Anyone who assists these organizations, whether through selling or transporting drugs or laundering their money, will be held accountable.”
United States Attorney Santelle specifically commended all of the participating agencies for their cooperation and hard work on this investigation.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Gail J. Hoffman. Many of the defendants, if convicted, face between 10 years and life imprisonment, a fine of up to $4,000,000 and 5 years to life on supervised release.

A Call on Hispanics to boycott spending in U.S. economy, limit to bare essentials spending only; Limited spending equals Immigration Reform

Limited spending = Immigration Reform

Economic Boycott to manage our economic power begins on March 21st and lasts until a fair comprehensive Immigration Reform bill is passed

By H. Nelson Goodson
A Call for Action
March 14, 2010

Washington D.C. -Hundreds of thousands of Latinos and non-Latinos are expected to dissent on Washington D.C. for the March 21, "March for America" Rally to draw attention to the much needed Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity (CIR ASAP) Act of 2009, H.R. 4321 bill by U.S. Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-Dem.) bill. More than 100,000 people will participate in this years' gathering at the nation's capitol.
A stronge message should be for "Hispanics to boycott spending in U.S. economy, limit to bare essentials spending only. Limit spending equals Immigration Reform," and the Economic Boycott to manage our economic power begins on March 21st and lasts until a fair comprehensive Immigration Reform bill is passed.
Every individual and especially Latinos/as are aware of the spending and buying economic power they do have in the U.S. The national shout out or call for action is for everyone who would like to sent a strong message to the U.S. Congress and President Barack H. Obama that we do count in this country and we are very much a part of this nation. People should be able to decide where they would like to limit their spending to only buying bare essentials.
Large Latino gatherings and marches for Immigration Reform should include the message of Limited Spending = Immigration Reform.
If the U.S. Congress doesn't include an Immigration Reform bill before this session ends within a month, it won't address the issue in 2010. The only way U.S. Congress will address and pass Immigration Reform is to hit them in the pocketbook.
Consumer Union who publishes Consumer Reports 2010, had the report published in Spanish "Guia de Compras 2010" to tap into the projected $1.3 trillion U.S. Hispanic buying power by 2013, which includes undocumented workers.
Millions of Latinos will stay home on March 21, but we must do our part and help spread the word through e-mails, social networks, text messaging to our families, friends and immigration reform supporters to begin limiting our spending to only bare essentials to show our economic power and impact in the U.S.
Major corporations such as, we know which ones who do profit from goods and services that we purchase from them, should feel our economic power. In return, why haven't they pushed for Immigration Reform? These corporations do help finance re-election bids for members of the U.S. Congress. Isn't it time, these major corporations reinvest back into our communities? I do believe so, and don't sit idle, let's stand up and begin to manage our economic spending power. Our future generations depend on us to succeed in paving their future.
Latinos have become known to be spenders and not savers, supported by the projected $1.3 trillion of spending power by 2013. Undocumented immigrants spend billions of dollars in a yearly basis into the U.S. economy, and what would actually happen if they are no longer in the country? This nation will no doubt suffer a national economic dissaster, which would eventually lead to a government shut down. The economic effect would also trigger a world economic ripple effect.
It's time we (as Hispanics) stopped from being considered as second class citizens, which we are not, but are very much part of this nation. We must believe in our U.S. Constitution and the inherent rights it gives to citizens including the undesirables.
Within the last four years more the 5.7 million people have marched throughout almost every small and major city in the U.S. calling for Immigration Reform and we as a united front for reform have gained and elected a majority in the U.S. Congress and have even been instrumental in electing the first African-Amercan president. President Barack H. Obama was elected in Nov. 2008, and I was part of that Immigration Reform movement, get out the vote, and continue to do so today.
Today, we need Immigration Reform, not tomorrow! If we wait for tomorrow (mañana) it will never happen.
More than 1,000 of undocumented immigrants are being deported per day (387,790 per year) under Obama's administration (400,000 families with U.S. citizen members are being destroyed by deportations, according to the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights), compared to almost 650 daily deportations (240,000 per year) under former President George W. Bush (Source: La Jornada Morelos, 3/9/2010). Eventhough, Bush committed himself for Immigration Reform and the Repulican majority in the U.S. Congress failed to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill.

On March 21, Diversified Leaders For Immigration Reform Expect More Than 100,000 People In Washington D.C.

Lack of Immigration Reform by the majority of Democrats in Congress, Obama's administration and President Barack Obama himself, has ignited another major surge to bring the issue forward

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 10, 2010

Washington D.C. -On Sunday, March 21, a diversified group of leaders and organizations representing labor, people of faith, and communities from across the country will converge in Washington D.C. at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Lincoln Memorial to demand that the U.S. Congress and President Barack H. Obama address one of our nation’s most pressing issue, Immigration Reform and the broken down immigration system. The "March for America" gathering at the nations capitol expects more than 100,000 participants, which is being organized by more than 700 groups and organizations from throughout the country.
This year, the organizing multi-organization/group leadership is targeting Congress and Obama's lack of leadership to pass a fair immigration reform bill in the last year, as promised by Obama while he campaigned for President in 2008.
Obama's Health Care reform stalled any passage of immigration reform and divided Congress and the country on the health issue. The Heath Care bill failed to pass.
The nation's economic crisis resulting in a recession and the war on terrorism and the two war fronts in Iraq and Afghanistan costing the U.S. billions of dollars has pushed immigration reform even deeper under the table or agenda.
This year, the gathering in Washington D.C. on March 21 has generated fewer participants compared to the massive immigration reform rallies in 2006. On April 10, 2006, between 500,000 to 1.2 million people gathered in Washington D.C. to push for Immigration Reform, and to protest HR-4437, which would criminalize anyone who helped an undocumented immigrant. At least over 3-4 million people united, organized and went out and marched for immigration reform in 2006.
The movement was sparked by the most discriminatory legislative bill HR-4437 ever authored by Republican U.S. Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner Jr. from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Sensenbrenner's bill would have criminalize undocumented workers and penalize those who helped them. HR-4437 was easily defeated in Congress, but help unite Latinos throughout the nation.
The immigration reform movement and the get out the vote campaign by Hispanics to prevent their families from being deported led to the defeat of Republican control of both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, stunning former President George W. Bush (Rep.), his cabinet and administration that same year.
Thus, paving the way for Presidential candidate Barack H. Obama, U.S. Senator, (IL-Dem.) to get elected U.S. President in November 2008. Obama while campaigning promised Latinos, and supporters of immigration reform, he would address and help pass a comprehensive immigration bill during his first year as president elect. During Obama's first year, 100 days went by and no immigration bill was ever passed and a year went by, and again, nothing was passed.
On January 28, 2010, President Obama's State of the Union Address lacked appeal for Hispanics, he talked about a jobs bill, economy, and unity, limiting only 37 words of his speech to the immigration issue. "I'm interested in protecting our economy... And 'we should continue the work of fixing our broken immigration system -– to secure our borders and enforce our laws, and ensure that everyone who plays by the rules can contribute to our economy and enrich our nation'," Obama briefly said.
On December 15, 2009, Congressman Luis Gutierrez (IL-Dem.) introduced an Immigration bill, known as the Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America’s Security And Prosperity (CIR ASAP) Act of 2009, H.R 4321, which is legislation that secures our nation's economy, keeps families together, and secures our borders while fixing our broken immigration system.
Earlier that year on July 22, 2009, an article posted by CBS News "Immigration Violated Rights" cited a report by the Immigration Justice Clinic at Yeshiva University that said, raids conducted by U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (U.S. ICE) in New York and New Jersey, as well as in other states violated the rights of immigrants. U.S. ICE used mostly administrative warrants, instead of judicial warrants and forced their way into homes late at night or at early morning hours while people slept. Administrative warrants by U.S. ICE require permission from household residents before entering a home, and entering without consent violate constitutional right to protection against unreasonable searches.
The report revealed in Long Island, 86 percent of arrest records from 100 raids between January 2006 and April 2008 showed no record of consent being given. In northern and central New Jersey, no record of consent being given was found for 24 percent of about 600 arrests in 2006 and 2007, the report found.
Immigration agents raiding homes for suspected illegal immigrants violated the U.S. Constitution by entering without proper consent and may have used racial profiling, a report analyzing arrest records found.
Latinos made up a disproportionate number of the people arrested who were not the stated targets of the raids, and many of their arrest reports gave no basis for why they were initially seized, said the report, which was based on data from raids in New York and New Jersey.
In June 2009, a federal judge in Connecticut ruled that federal ICE agents violated the constitutional rights of four illegal immigrants in a 2007 raid under similar issues. The judge ruled the immigration agents went into the immigrants' homes without warrants, probable cause or their consent, and he put a stop to deportation proceedings against the four defendants, the CBS News report said.
Last month, U.S. ICE closed the Varick Detention Center in Manhattan, and 230 of 300 detainees were moved to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny, New Jersey. Some of the detainees were relocated to facilities to far for family members to visit them or to provide financial support. Medical attention is very poor and virtually has no dental care available.
Community activists tried to get U.S. ICE to release some of the detainees with a monitoring ankle bracelet costing U.S. ICE $12 instead of $111 the Hudson County Jail in Kearney charges a day per detainee in a contract agreement with U.S. ICE, according to a report by El Diario Newspaper in New York in February.
Some of the participants were from the Detention Watch Network, a national coalition that educates the public and policymakers about the immigration detention and deportation system.
The detention system, the activists charge, is an utter disaster. Each year, more than 300,000 immigrants are "funneled through a secretive web of over 350 immigrant detention centers," they said. One of these was the privately operated Varick center that closed.
More than 80% of the detainees go through the immigration system without a lawyer, the group said. Many are denied their day in court because of arbitrary detention laws and policies that limit judicial discretion.
The horrific conditions detained immigrants endure have been well-documented in the press. Mistreatment by guards, solitary confinement, denial of medical attention, limited or no access to their families, lawyers and the outside world make for a veritable human rights scandal.
In many cases, the activists said, "these conditions have proven fatal: Since 2003, a reported 107 people have died in immigration custody," the New York Daily reported in February.
On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that lawmakers working to craft a new comprehensive immigration bill have settled on a way to prevent employers from hiring illegal immigrants: a national biometric identification card all American workers would eventually be required to obtain.
Under the potentially controversial plan still taking shape in the Senate, all legal U.S. workers, including citizens and immigrants, would be issued an ID card with embedded information, such as fingerprints, to tie the card to the worker. The effort is led by U.S. Senators Chuck Schumer (N.Y.-Dem.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.-Rep.), and will meet with President Obama this week to discuss immigration reform.
The national biometric identification card is being opposed by the ACLU. "It is fundamentally a massive invasion of people's privacy," said Chris Calabrese, Legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union. "We're not only talking about fingerprinting every American, treating ordinary Americans like criminals in order to work. We're also talking about a card that would quickly spread from work to voting to travel to pretty much every aspect of American life that requires identification," the Wall Street Journal reported.
President Obama has yet to realized the actual economic contributions the Latino population has injected into the American economy and its projected economic power. A meaningful way to help the crisis, is by using common sense for a steady, secured, and a rapid American economic recovery by passing Congressman Gutierrez comprehensive reform bill. The bill would allow good standing undocumented immigrants to legally work, keep families together, and pay their fair share of taxes making our economy stronger.
Hispanics will change the profile of American society in the next 30 years, and will continue to increase the percentage of the American Consumer Base. Even Consumers Union who publishes Consumer Reports 2010, had the report translated into Spanish "Guía de Compras 2010" to tap into the 2013 projected $1.3 trillion U.S. Hispanic buying power, which includes undocumented workers.
On Wednesday, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC)  announced through a press release that its membership will protest across America on April 15, 2010 in conjunction with existing Tea Party events. ALIPAC will protest the current push for what it's calling Amnesty legislation in Washington D.C. and as a counter measure to the 'March For America' marches held nationally on March 21 to support a Comprehensive Immigration bill sponsored by Congressman Luis Gutierrez.
"Despite the fake polls, bought and paid for by the Open Borders Lobby groups, the truth remains that 80% of Americans oppose Amnesty for illegal aliens and turning millions of illegals into voters would have a catastrophic effect on America," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "We will be sending tens of thousands of people out to support Tea Party events on April 15 to properly represent public opposition to illegal immigration and Amnesty for illegals." ALIPAC is considered an anti-immigrant organization by pro-immigration reform activists.
The Tea Party membership are mostly extreme conservative Republicans who opposed President Obama's Health Care Plan, but supported former President George W. Bush (Rep.) administration and its policies that led the U.S. into a recession.
Last month, Joshau Hoyt, Executive Director, Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights during a press conference in Chicago along with a diverse group of leaders announced they were organizing and their goal was to take 10,000 people, 200 buses to Washington D.C. for this historic rally. We are proud to say that there are 104 buses already going to Washington, D.C., organized by students, churches, and immigrant rights organizations, announced Hoyt.
In a press release statement, Hoyt said, Our nation needs for our President Obama and Congressional leaders such as our Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, Majority Whip, to step up and assume their leadership responsibilities on the issue of immigration.
Our immigration laws must reflect both the interests and values that we share as Americans, and the status quo is bad for our nation.
We cannot have national security and secure borders without immigration reform that requires that immigrants step forward and register.
We cannot rebuild our economy while continuing to allow illegal employers to undercut wages for all workers by exploiting immigrant labor.
America is both a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants and our values are betrayed when politicians are too frightened to pursue solutions while we are destroying 400,000 families a year – most with U.S. citizen members – through deportations. We will tell our President Obama and our Senator Dick Durbin, “Change Takes Courage.”
It is time for our President and Congress to stop hiding from the truth: our Nation needs practical and fair comprehensive immigration reform.
With overwhelming majorities in the Senate and the House of Representatives there are no excuses for Democratic politicians to hide from their responsibility for solutions to tough problems like immigration reform. There are no excuses for Republicans to not engage in bi-partisan problem solving, Hoyt stated during the press conference.

Woman Plotted With Jihadist Fighters To Kill Swedish Cartoonist For Mocking Prophet Mohammed

Colleen R. LaRose aka "Jihad Jane" or "Fatima Rose"

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 10, 2010

Philadelphia -A federal indictment unsealed Tuesday states, Colleen R. LaRose, 46, of Montgomery, Pa., was arrested on October 16, 2009 and charged with trying to recruit Islamic fighters and plotting to assassinate a Swedish cartoonist who made fun of prophet Mohammed. LaRose aka "Jihad Jane" or "Fatima Rose" a U.S. Citizen allegedly used the Internet to recruit others to killed Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks. Vilks, became the target after drawing Muhammed with the body of a dog.
LaRose was charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, conspiracy to kill in a foreign country, making false statements to a government officials and attempted identity theft, according to the indictment.
The indictment states, LaRose and five unindicted co conspirators (located in South Asia, Eastern Europe, Western Europe and the United States) recruited men on the Internet to wage violent jihad in South Asia and Europe, and recruited women on the Internet who had passports and the ability to travel to and around Europe in support of violent jihad.
The indictment further charges that LaRose and her unindicted co conspirators used the Internet to establish relationships with one another and to communicate regarding their plans, which included martyring themselves, soliciting funds for terrorists, soliciting passports and avoiding travel restrictions (through the collection of passports and through marriage) in order to wage violent jihad. The indictment further charges that LaRose stole another individual’s U.S. passport and transferred or attempted to transfer it in an effort to facilitate an act of international terrorism, according to a press release by the U.S. Department of Justice.
She added a video of herself on Youtube on June 20, 2008 suggesting she (Jihad Jane) was "desperate to do something somehow to help" ease the suffering of Muslims.
Through e-mails with suspected Jihadists, she wrote she wanted to marry someone in Europe, so she could actually accomplish her quest to become a martyr. Her appearance would make it easy for her to blend in and achieve what was in her heart.
On March 2009, LaRose received an order to go to Sweden, locate Vilks and then kill him in a way that would shock "the whole Kufar [non-believer] world." "I will make this my goal till I achieve it or die trying," LaRose responded to the directive.
She made it to Europe around August 2009 to live and train with Jihadists, but was arrested by authories before she could carry out the killing for Jihad, according to the indictment.
David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for National Security, and Michael L. Levy, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania together with Janice K. Fedarcyk, Special Agent-in-Charge of the FBI in Philadelphia, unsealed the indictment after the government of Ireland arrested 7 men this week with conspiring to kill Vilks in Sweden. U.S. Attorney Michael Levy said, the indictment does not link LaRose to any organized terrorists group.
LaRose remains in federal custody and has not entered a plea, if convicted she is facing life in prison and $1 million in fines.
In a press release statement on Tuesday federal officials stated, "Today’s indictment, which alleges that a woman from suburban America agreed to carry out murder overseas and to provide material support to terrorists, underscores the evolving nature of the threat we face," said David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division. "I applaud the many agents, analysts and prosecutors who worked on this important investigation."
"This case shows the use terrorists can and do make of the Internet," said U.S. Attorney Michael L. Levy. "Colleen LaRose and five other individuals scattered across the globe are alleged to have used the Internet to form a conspiracy to provide material support to terrorism, culminating in a direct order to LaRose to commit murder overseas. LaRose – an American citizen whose appearance was considered to be an asset because it allowed her to blend in – is charged with using the Internet to recruit violent jihadist fighters and supporters, and to solicit passports and funding. It demonstrates yet another very real danger lurking on the Internet. This case also demonstrates that terrorists are looking for Americans to join them in their cause, and it shatters any lingering thought that we can spot a terrorist based on appearance."
"This case demonstrates that the FBI and our partners in the law enforcement and intelligence communities must continue to remain vigilant in the face of the threats that America faces, in whatever form those threats may present themselves or no matter how creative those who threaten us try to be," said Special Agent-in-Charge Janice K Fedarcyk of the Philadelphia Division of the FBI. "We must use all available technologies and techniques to root out potential threats and stop those who intend to harm us."
This case was investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. It is being prosecuted by Jennifer Arbittier Williams, Assistant U.S. Attorney from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Matthew F. Blue, Trial Attorney from the Counterterrorism Section in the Justice Department’s National Security Division, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

1,800 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized In Texas-Chicago Drug Bust

U.S. ICE drug bust confiscates $1.8 million worth of marijuana in Chicago

By H. Nelson Goodson
March 9, 2010

Chicago - Last Saturday, José Mejia, 34; Jesus Vieyra, 46; and Daniel Villelda, 45; all of Brownsville, Texas; and Enrique Haro, 43; and Ismael Cornejo, 26; both of Chicago, were charged in an indictment on March 6 in the Northern District of Illinois for possessing 1,800 pounds of marijuana with the intent to distribute. The street value of the marijuana was estimated at $1.8 million, U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (U.S. ICE) reported on Tuesday.
The federal criminal complaint states, that last month Mejia contacted a truck driver who happened to be an undercover ICE agent for a major marijuana delivery job from McAllen, Texas to Chicago. Mejia and some of his accomplices met the undercover agent to plan the transport. The agent who was then hired as the truck driver was offered between $90 to $100 dollars per delivered pound of pot.
Several meetings between Mejia and the agent were recorded and telephone communications between the agent and his accomplices were also monitored and recorded.
A press release issued by U.S. ICE says, that on March 1, Mejia and Vieya delivered 1,800 pounds of marijuana to the undercover agent in 76 bundles in Brownsville, Texas. Federal authorities were able to record a telephone conversation on March 5, when Mejia instructed the undercover agent to take the marijuana-laden vehicle to a restaurant on Chicago's south side. Later that day, Haro and an unidentified individual took the van to a residence on Avenue M in Chicago and unloaded the marijuana inside the garage.
ICE agents conducted a consent search at the garage and took possession of the marijuana. Mejia, Vieyra and Villelda were arrested March 5 at a hotel in Burbank, Ill. where they were staying. Haro and Cornejo were arrested the same day after law enforcement officers stopped them on Interstate Highway-55 and discovered a kilogram (2.2 pounds) of marijuana in the truck bed, according to U.S. ICE.
"Working together with our local and federal law enforcement partners we identified and disrupted this smuggling and distribution conspiracy," said Gary Hartwig, special agent in charge of the U.S. ICE Office of Investigations in Chicago. "This investigation is continuing to dismantle the illegal organization completely."
U.S. ICE was assisted in the investigation by the following agencies: U.S Customs and Border Protection's Air and Marine Unit in Detroit, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Chicago Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney John Kness, Northern District of Illinois, is prosecuting the case. If convicted, each defendant faces a minimum of five years and up to 40 years in prison.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt.

16 Suspects Added In Homicide Dragnet Totaling 27 Wanted By INTERPOL And Dubai's International Task Force

Top two photos: 16 suspects added by INTERPOL in Red Notices and are now wanted by a Dubai based International Taskforce for murder along with the second team of 11 suspects (bottom) also wanted in connection with Mahmoud al-Mabhouh's January 19, homicide in Dubai. All the suspects are connected to Massad, an Israeli intelligence agency that operates a spy and hitmen network illegally using altered passports from foreign nations to commit murder abroad, according to Dubai police.

March 8, 2010

Lyon, France (HNNUSA)– On Monday, INTERPOL joined a Dubai based international task force investigating the murder of Palestinian national and Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh on January 19, 2010. At the request of UAE/Dubai authorities, the world police body has also issued another 16 Red Notices to assist in the arrest of additional suspects now linked to the murder of Al-Mabhouh, bringing the total to 27.
The creation of the task force and the publication of the new Red Notices came as investigative information provided by the authorities in Dubai bore out the international links and broad scope of the number of people involved, as well as the role of two ‘teams’ of individuals identified by the Dubai police as being linked to Al-Mabhouh’s murder.
The suspects were carrying passports from different countries, 3 from Australia, 3 Irish, 3 from France, 6 were British and other countries. 14 of the alleged hitmen had used Mastercard credit cards to pay for hotel rooms and travel expenses. The credit cards were traced back to META, a U.S. regional bank that issued them. META Bank provided information to Dubai police that the credit cards were provided prepaid by Payoneer, a company headquartered in New York City and operating a development and research center in Tel Aviv, Dubai police informed. Both META and Payoneer are looking into the matter and cooperating with Dubai authorities.
Dubai police now say they have issued international warrants for 27 suspects, including the 11 suspects INTERPOL had previously issued Red notices for. In total, 6 women and 21 men allegedly conspired to commit murder in Dubai. Dubai homicide investigators now say they are 100% sure, the suspects are connected to Mossad, the Israel intelligence Agency known to operate a spy and hitmen network. As of yet, no reward has been offered for information leading to the true identities of the suspects and information leading to their arrest and conviction.
The Red notices were sent to 188 countries connected with INTERPOL, and authorities have been alerted that authentic passports have been altered by the suspects. The INTERPOL alert prevents a suspect from using the passport to travel.

Mexican Drug Cartel Federation Formed To Combat Los Zetas And Its Allies

(File photo: Mexican Military Police)

Bold message posted on March 3, on the Internet says, a new Federation was composed by an alliance between the Cartel de Sinaloa, the Gulf Cartel and the Familia Michoacana to combat Los Zetas and its allies

Tamaulipas, Mexico -On March 3, a Youtube message was posted for people living in border towns affected by the current drug wars in Mexico, with subtitle "The truth about what is happening in Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon." The typed message includes music on the background and explains in Spanish, that Jaoquin "El Chapo" Guzman-Loera from the Cartel de Sinaloa, the Gulf Cartel and the Familia Michoacana have formed a new "Federation," or the new "Mexican Cyber Cartel," The Youtube video was posted by the new Federation/Mexican Cyber Cartel. The posting could not be confirmed, if it was authentic or actually posted by cartel members of the Federation, but has more than 17,147 views listed.
The message warns the residents of Reynosa not to send their children to school, and if their vehicles are stolen, not to worry because it isn't worth dying for. The video even warns residents to remove tinted windows and not to burn rubber while they are driving around the cities. The vehicles are being used to transport members of feuding cartels into the combat zones in the region.
The Federation video provides more details about actual incidents they claim actually happened a few days before it was posted, by viewing details of video. They explained, an accord between them and the local media in the immediate area have reached an agreement not to publish news reports from drug war related incidents. Even the Mexican military police are cooperating with them by just sitting on the sidelines and waiting for the new Federation of cartels to wipeout Los Zetas. The message goes as far as to claim the Mexican government protects "El Chapo" Guzman.
They admit that drug trafficking will coninue, but there is no need to do it through violence. They blame Los Zetas for what has transpired and warns it will target other cartel leaders, but they guarantee the drug war feud will end soon.
The message in a bold attempt to get public support provides a Hotmail e-mail address to turn in suspected members of Los Zetas, the Federation posted in video (http://bit.ly/9l6kMT).
The United Mexican Drug Cartel Federation (UMDCF) alliance is composed of the Gulf Cartel, La Familia Michoacana, Cartel Milenio de Sinaloa, Cartel de Sinaloa and other allies, feuding against Los Zetas, Cartel de Juarez, Cartel de Betran Leyva and some municipal police departments who work with the Zetas.
The drug war was ignited by the murder of a Zeta leader Victor Peña Mendoza in January 18, 2010 by a suspected member of the Gulf Cartel. The Zetas wanted the Gulf Cartel to turnover the suspected Mendoza killer to them. The leadership of the Gulf drug cartel refused and the feud began.
The disputed territories are the municipalities of Reynosa, and Matamoros in Tamaulipas. Factions of the cartels have extended their dispute to municipalities of Monterrey and Guadalupe in the state of Nuevo Leon. (Brief narrative in Spanish how the drug wars began: http://bit.ly/aLCDpP)
Both Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel have been recruiting men to help fight counterparts from Veracruz, Puebla, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Sonora and Coahuila, the Mexican military police confirmed.
Last week, 700 reinforcements for Los Zetas went to join another 500 Zetas in Nuevo Laredo in an attempt to set up operations, Channel TV 5 in Weslaco, Texas reported.
Mexican military police reported acts of violence during the last week of February, in border towns Valle Hermoso, Reynosa, Guerrero, Miguel Alemán, Ciudad Mier, and Valadeces, that left at least 23 people dead.
Authorities have found within the last two weeks about 50 abandon vehicles with traces of blood, but the cartels seem to pick up bodies and their wounded men to avoid detection by authorities.
The Gulf Cartel have at times set up road blocks going into Reynosa and roads leading out of the city along with the help of municipal police. Residents have reported seeing trucks and SUV's with C.D.G. (The Gulf Cartel) signs taped to the side doors during the road blocks. While the Reynosa mayor and public officials are aware C.D.G. vehicles patrol the area, according to residents.
A surge of violence is expected to reach Miguel Alemán and Nuevo Laredo, which are seen as strategic cities for control, and the cartels are trying to takeover the more than $17 billion drug trafficing operations in the region due to their close proximity to the U.S. border.
Within the last two months in 2010, a total of 52 executions were reported in Matamoros, Reynosa, Miguel Alemán and Camargo, according to Mexican federal authorities.
Los Zetas are considered by both the U.S. government and Mexican government as the most ruthless and technological advanced drug cartel, which most homicides in Mexico are attributed too (CNN video on Los Zetas: http://bit.ly/buRPo2).
