Zeta Leader Arrested At Mexico International Airport

Federal authorities apprehended one of the Zeta leaders while trying to board a plane to Cancún

Mexico City, Mexico (HNNUSA) -Last Saturday, Erick Alejandro Martínez López, aka "El Motokles," a suspected Zeta drug cartel kingpin who formerly worked for the Gulf Cartel and in charge of the Zeta operations in the State of Quintana Roo was arrested. Martínez López was trying to board a flight to Cancún at the Mexico International Airport, when federal authorites captured him.
Martínez López is suspected of managing and ordering the kidnappings, and murders (torture and beheadings) of multiple victims in the following region of Jalapa, Veracruz, and Quintana Roo. The Zetas smuggled, transported cocaine and other durgs in Cancún, Playa del Carmen and Chetumal. They extorted business owners, victims, and operated an illegal smuggling operation of undocumented immigrants from Cuba and Asia, according to the Mexican Secretary of Defense (SEDENA).
