Vehicle Sought By Milwaukee Police That Was Involved In A Hit-and-run That Injuryed A Woman In The Southside Of Milwaukee


Woman struck by hit-and-run vehicle at the 1600 block of W. Lincoln Ave.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin- On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, Milwaukee police are looking for the driver of a dark vehicle who was heading along S. 16 Street and made a left turn heading Eastbound  on W. Lincoln Ave. without stopping for a 61-year-old female pedestrian who was struck at around 2:56 p.m. by the vehicle while she crossed the corner. The unidentified women is seen being struck and the impact made her body fly across the street. 

The driver of the vehicle kept going without stopping. Another driver stopped and exited his vehicle to aid the injured woman.

Police say, the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, she was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

A nearby surveillance video camera caught the hit-and-run incident and was posted on Facebook by Eddy Lettec. Eddy also posted a still image of the vehicle showing the license plate number, which appears to be AML-872. Police hasn't confirmed, if the vehicle was registered to that license plate number.
