Former Milwaukee Alderwoman Chantia Lewis Booked In County Jail To Begin Her 30-day Sentence For Felony Misconduct In Office At The HOC

Lewis began her 30-day jail sentence at the House of Correction in Franklin.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, former Milwaukee Alderwoman Chantia Lewis, 41, turned her self in to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office to begin her 30-day sentence at the House of Correction (HOC). Lewis pled guilty to two felony counts for misconduct in office and campaign finance- intentionally accept unlawful disbursement in August 2022 under a plea agreement, which she would only serve 30 days in the HOC, pay restitution, serve 50 hours of community service and placed on extended supervision for three years.

Lewis is scheduled for a restitution hearing on October 7, 2022 at a Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
