Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Milwaukee police made an initial traffic stopped at N. 70th and W. Thurston Ave., then Herman Lucas, 31, the driver fled the scene, the suspect briefly stopped at N. 60 and W. Thurston and fled again unti he got into a crash with another vehicle at the 9100 block of W. Silver Spring Drive.

Lucas fled from the crash scene with a handgun in his hand, according to police. Police pursued the suspect to the BP Gas Station and was order multiple times to drop the gun, according to press conference by police.

Lucas apparently didn't point or shoot at officers, according to the preliminary investigation.

A 34-year-old Milwaukee police officer fired his weapon 10 times at Lucas when he failed to drop his weapon, striking him and the suspect fell face down between a metal fence and high rise end of a walk way by the side of the gas station building.

It appears, that Lucas might have been attempting to jump over the fence to escape from officers when he was shot multiple times in the back and fell face down. The police officer's body camera footage who shot Lucas hasn't been released to show, if the officer was facing a life-threatening situation to justify the use of deadly force.

Then another officer joins him and both drag and lift the suspect to the gas station parking space pavement. It is not known, if Lucas was already deceased.
