Angel C. Sanchez Files Candidacy For Alderman In The 8th Aldermanic District In Milwaukee

Sanchez is the sixth person to file his candidacy for Alderman in the 8th Aldermanic District, according to the City of Milwaukee Election Commission.

Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, former Alderman Angel C. Sanchez from the 12th Aldermanic District filed his Declaration of Candidacy for Alderman in the 8th Aldermanic District for the April 7, 2020 Spring Election with the City of Milwaukee Election Commission. Sanchez is the third Republican running for Alderman in the 8th Aldermanic District and one among six candidates, which includes Eduardo Loera, Wisconsin State Representative JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milw.), Justin Bielinski, Ryan M. Antczak and Christian Saldivar.
Sanchez ran unsuccessfully for the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Republican in the 8th Assembly District in 2018, he ran unsuccessfully for the Milwaukee Public School Board in 2013 and lost his re-election bid for Alderman in 2004. Sanchez was the first Hispanic elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in 2000, but only served one term.
Pastor Loera, is the second Republican in the race for Alderman in the 8th Aldermanic District and a Trump MAGA supporter.
The third Republican in the race is Antczak.
The 8th Aldermanic District race is non-partisan.
