Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Voces de la Frontera Action (VDLFA) posted an article on their Facebook page about the results of the elections and Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) found that they continue to make false claims about Sylvia Ortiz-Velez, the newly elected Milwaukee County Supervisor for the 12th District. According to VDLFA, now they are claiming that Ortiz-Velez benefited from over $55K of Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele money, which is a false claim and Christine Neumann-Ortiz, the executive director at Voces de la Frontera can't back up their claim to falsely alleged that Ortiz-Velez had benefited from any Abele money. In the VDLFA article, they say, "The new County Supervisor benefited from over $55,000 in Abele money."  According to Ortiz-Velez's online campaign donation report's with the state, she has not accepted any donations from Abele or Leadership MKE.
No one took an exit poll or made a study to learn during the election, if Abele's money through Leadership MKE actually influenced the election in the 12th Supervisor's District race where the incumbent, Supervisor Peggy West who was endorsed by VDLFA lost with 42% of the vote compared to Ortiz-Velez who received 58% of the vote. Neither West or Ortiz-Velez cooperated or consented for Leadership MKE to advertise in favor or against them. That's the disclaimer VDLFA and Neumann-Ortiz have intentionally failed to add to their allegations, which if they did, their false allegations would no doubt be moot.
The hypocrisy of VDLFA who endorsed Judge Rebecca Dallet for Wisconsin State Supreme Court and was also elected. Dallet accepted Abele's endorsement and yet VDLFA and Neumann-Ortiz still supported her, despite she might become a puppet for Abele. Also VDLFA hasn't openly criticized Felesia Martin, another Milwaukee County Supervisor for District 7 who was elected and accepted Abele's campaign donations, which shows it's OK for VDLFA that Dallet and Martin to receive Abele's support.
VDLF and VDLFA Boards are controlled by White liberals who have allowed for Neumann-Ortiz to continue to make false claims against Ortiz-Velez who is also a member of VDLF. The Hispanic community came out against VDLFA including Neumann-Ortiz's false claims and voted for change by electing Ortiz-Velez. VDLF including Neumann-Ortiz and VDLFA should stop lying and respect the outcome, since they have lost credibility in the Latino community for making false claims against the newly elected supervisor.
