Madison, WI - On Thursday, the Wisconsin state Senate Republicans and co-sponsors that include GOP State Representatives introduced an illegal anti-sanctuary bill and it was referred to the Committee on Labor and Regulatory Reform. It seems that state legislators want their cake and eat it too.
What state legislators don't want you know is that Wisconsin has a $6 billion dollar trade deal with Mexico and it is enriching some of Wisconsin's White majority of business owners, large corporations and agricultural farmers. State GOP legislators favor the economic flow from Mexico, but they don't favor Mexico's undocumented immigrant community in the state. Shame on you GOP legislators.
Mexican nationals in Wisconsin should petition for Mexico to suspend the $6B dollar trade deal until Wisconsin GOP legislators and Governor Scott Walker (R) actually treat the Mexican national population in the state with more respect and welcome their economic contribution as well. To begin, allow Mexican nationals to legally drive in state roads by providing driving permits or licenses among other needs as well.
The following bill, if passed and challenged in a federal court will no doubt be declared unconstitutional, simply because a state can not forced state or county employees to enforce federal immigration laws, legislators also can't withhold state share revenue funding as a penalty for refusing to enforce immigration laws reserved for the feds and it requires county and state law enforcement agencies to accept Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) administrative detainers, which have been ruled illegal by a federal court, only a signed warrant by a court judge is considered legal.

Editor's note: It is well known that anti-immigrant GOP federal and state legislators have been influenced by the Koch brothers to initiate and push bills against sanctuary cities and support mass deportations of undocumented immigrants. Also, the LIBRE Initiative by Americans for Prosperity Foundation (APF) is funded and connected to the Koch brothers, which is considered an alt-right organization attempting to plant their seed in the Milwaukee Southside Latino community.
What APF doesn't want Latinos to know is that it is actually funded by the alt-right Koch brothers who oppose immigration reform amd advocate to repeal ACA (Obamacare).
In 2015, State Representative JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milw) released a statement about LIBRE, "The LIBRE Initiative is an ultra-conservative organization funded by out of state billionaires Charles and David Koch that seeks to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, halt increases in the federal minimum wage, fund anti-immigrant Republican politicians, and support voter photo ID laws that aim to further disenfranchise Latino communities.
