Milwaukee, WI - On Saturday, a biker was hospitalized after being struck in the morning by a vehicle at the 2200 block of W. Greenfield Ave., according to police. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. The vehicle sustained front damage on impact and the motorcycle was damaged as well.
According to Katrina Todd, who knows the injured biker says, that he survived the accident, but suffered a broken arm, leg and pelvis and has several skull fractures as well. He went through several surgeries and will go through several more.
The biker apparently had just bought the motorcycle a day before the accident and wasn't wearing a helmet, according to Todd. He will be restricted to a wheelchair as he gradually recovers.
Milwaukee Police Sergeant Timothy Gauerke from the Chief of Police Office confirmed, that a motorcycle driven by 30-year old Milwaukee man lost control, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle.  The rider was not wearing a helmet during the crash.  He suffered serious, but what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.  He was cited for failing to have control and for not having a motorcycle endorsement on his license (no motorcycle licenese).
