Recently Retired Milwaukee Cop Charged With Sexual Assault Of A Child

Retired Milwaukee cop arrested on outstanding warrant for sexual assault of a child.

Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, retired Milwaukee cop Marcell H. Daniels, 45, was arrested and charged with three felony counts for 2nd-degree sexual assault of a child (facing 40 years in prison), child sexual exploitation (40 years in prison) and child enticement/sexual contact(25 years in prison) including up to $100K in fines for each count. If convicted, Daniels is facing up to 105 years in prison and $300K in fines. Daniels bond was set at $5,000 cash, according to court records.
Daniels is expected back in court on February 1 for a preliminary hearing.
The criminal complaint states that Daniels had Intercourse with a 16-year-old multiple times and had taken sexually explicit photos of the girl for several years. She is 18 now. The photos of the girl were recovered from Daniels computer by police. Another complaint was filed against Daniels alleging that he send sexually explicit text messages to a 14-year-old girl and had engaged in Intercourse as well, according to her mother.
Daniels retired on January 3 after 25 years of service with the Milwaukee Police Department.
