Laredo, Texas - On Thursday, incumbent Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar reported that his reelection campaign yard signs for sheriff are being ripped off by thieves. Sheriff Cuellar on his Facebook account posted a video dated December 18, 2015 showing a white truck with three suspects stopping at his residence and two suspects got out and stole a Cuellar for Sheriff campaign sign from his front yard. Sheriff Cuellar is morning the passing of his beloved mother and the sign theft happened just hours before Cuellar's mother, Odilia P. Cuellar, 87, would be taken to her final resting place.
Sheriff Cuellar posted, "On December 18, 2015, at approximately 2:00 a.m., three thieves arrived to MY home and stole my campaign sign, which was physically situated on my property. Two thieves physically got off a pickup truck, got onto my residential property, took my campaign sign, and drove away. I would like to note that hours before, my loving mother was buried. Not only are these individual thieves; they are cowards."
Sheriff Cuellar vows to bust the political sign thieves and has offered a reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thieves involved.
It seems, that these thieves show no respect for Sheriff Cuellar and should be brought to face Webb County justice.
