Milwaukee Protest At Two Bucks Bar & Grill After Owner Bans Afro-Americans From Patronizing

A protest at the Two Bucks Bar & Grill after allegations that the female owner, Lynn Forthaus has refused service and kicked out Afro-Americans citing she doesn't want ghetto Blacks at her business.

Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, a local Eastside bar in the city of Milwaukee faced a community protest around 7:30 p.m. after Afro-Americans were targeted on Friday and refused service, including being kicked out from the Two Bucks Bar & Grill, 2321 N. Murray Ave. for just being Black. The racial discrimination allegations were raised by employees and customers, according to Boycott TWO BUCKS Milwaukee, a Facebook account that was set-up to denounce an alleged racist bar owner. The Two Bucks Bar & Grill is owned by both Lynn and Kevin Forthaus.

The bar remained closed on Saturday after the Friday incident that caused most of the employees at the business to quit, including bartenders and several bouncers.

Apparently several bouncers witnessed the racial discrimination incident and some customers who were refused service and kicked out claimed that the Two Bucks Bar & Grill owner, Lynn Forthaus had asked them to leave for no reason. But, the bar employees claimed that Lynn had made it obvious that she kicked them out from the bar just for being Black and acting suspiciously. According to some allegations, one of the bouncers heard Lynn saying that she didn't want Black ghetto people at her bar or any Afro-American business. Other customers who heard Lynn's racists comments also left the bar, according to employees.

Even a former employee told one of the victims that she had quit working for the Forthaus's several years ago because of her racist behavior against Blacks.

The Forthaus's could not be reached for comment about the alleged discrimination acts towards Black customers and accusations from the former employees. 

The victims say that they will complain with the Milwaukee City Clerk and the local Alderman. Currently, the Milwaukee Common Council has not adopted any ordinance or policy preventing City licensed businesses, restaurants and bars from racially discriminating and targeting certain ethnic groups from being served or providing services too.

Lynn Forthaus posted the following statement on the Two Bucks Bar & Grill Facebook on Sunday night, "There was an unfortunate incident at Two Bucks late Friday, May 1st. I apologize that this occurred. It does not reflect the views of the company, owners or employees of Two Bucks. We embrace diversity and have already taken steps so this will never happen again." Lynn's statement doesn't justify that she has an apparent racist issue against Afro-Americans for the last couple of years, according to employees and customers who finally decided to do something about it and expose her actions while representing a franchise of Two Bucks.
Lynn plans to reopen on Monday and will replace the staff that quit under racially bias tensions at Two Bucks.

Update: When contacted on Monday by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), Two Bucks of America stated, "We are working diligently to gather information and take appropriate action."
