Berlin, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Nickolas Tuinstra, 33, was taken into custody and is facing charges for Saturday's night double homicide of his wife, Melissa J. Georgeson-Tuinstra, 28, and her boyfriend, Justin M. Daniels, 28. Tuinstra apparently in a jealous rage decided to murder his wife days after she filed for a divorced. Melissa was shot multiple times outside her apartment and Daniels was also fatally shot multiple times by Tuinstra while he was inside her apartment, according to the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office criminal complaint.
A woman called 911 around 11:02 p.m. and told the emergency operator, that at first she taught the body laying on a sidewalk was a Halloween stuff body and touched it. Then, she realized it was a real body with bullet wounds and blood.
The case was investigated by the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, City of Berlin Police Department, the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations State Crime Lab, Wisconsin State Highway Patrol and the Green Lake County Coroner's Office.
