Sheboygan, WI - On Monday, Dorian M. Torres, 17, was charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide for the January 24 brutal murder of his father, Emilio Eduardo Torres,  41, at the 2100 block of Meadowland Drive. The criminal complaint states, Torres killed his father with a blunt object by striking the victims head multiple times until he was dead. He then wrapped his father's corpse in a shower curtain and duct tape. Torres placed the body behind a mattress box spring leaning on the bedroom wall, also left a window open and closed the door to keep the room cold. Emilio had been dead about seven days.
On January 30, when police arrived at Emilio's apartment shortly after his ex-wife Shelly Lynn Torres, 42, notified police that he hadn't been seen since January 23, they found Torres seating down watching TV while his father's body was in the bedroom. Police speculate that Emilio was killed around January 24.
Shelly told police that she became suspicious when her son told her that Emilio had suddenly decided to leave for Texas, but left him the car, apartment, credit cards and bank account. Later on, Torres called his mom again and wanted Emilio's credit card pin numbers and his Social Security. Torres even disabled his Facebook account on the January 24.
Emilio was originally from Panama, had lived in the U.S. for more than 10 years and worked as a supervisor at Nemak in Sheboygan.
Torres bail was set at $750K cash and remains in jail. If convicted, Torres is facing life in prison without parole.
On early Thursday, Torres was taken into custody. No motive has been determined, according to the investigation.
Torres also has multiple cases pending for 2013, one felony count for burglary of a dwelling, and five misdemeanor counts for criminal trespassing, theft, possession of THC (Marijuana) and two for bail jumping, according to court records.
