Milwaukee Delegation Departs To Washington, D.C. For National Immigration Reform Rally

More than 200 Wisconsinites from 8 congressional districts departed to Washington, D.C. to join tens of thousands of immigrants and supporters for the April 10th National Immigration Reform march and rally at the nation's Capitol Mall.

Milwaukee,  WI - On Tuesday, five buses with Wisconsinites departed to Washington, D.C. to take part in the April 10th Immigration Reform march and rally at the nation's Capitol Mall. The Wisconsin delegation was organized by Voces de la Frontera and other groups from across the state.
The national rally event was sponsored by multiple immigrant rights organizations, unions and religious clergy to push for a comprehensive immigration reform bill with an affordable path to citizenship and for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to stop raids that separate families. Wednesday's rally will be part of a national day of action to sent a strong and united message that it is time to pass an immigration reform bill to allowed a path for more than 12 million undocumented immigrants and their children to become U.S. Citizens. 
The one day event will be attended by religious clergy, union representatives, public officials and supporters from across the country. The event will also allow thousands of people to visit their state federal congressmen/women and senators at Capitol Hill to lobby for immigration reform.
