Walker's Former Deputy Chief Of Staff, Russell Sentenced to Two Years In Prison For Theft

Russell pled guilty to stealing more than $21K from a non-profit Veterans organization created by former Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Hansher sentenced Timothy D. Russell, 49, to two years in prison and five years probation, including paying restitution for a felony theft conviction. Before sentencing Russell, Judge Hansher said, that Russell had no true regret, remorse, or repentance or any shame for what he did. Eventhough, he pled guilty in November to stealing more than $21,000 from a non-profit Veterans group called Operation Freedom. The group held an annual picnic event at the Milwaukee County Zoo to raise funds.
Russell was the former deputy chief of staff and housing director to former Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, who is the current governor of Wisconsin.
