EL Rey Grocery store On Oklahoma Ave. Engulf In Flames Causing $300K In Damage

Police looking for several suspects in alleged arson blaze.

Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, the El Rey Grocery store located in the 5200 block of W. Oklahoma Ave. went up in blaze causing at least $300K in food and other items, including some water and smoke damage to the building. Police are looking for several suspects seen casing the front of the store at around 11:30 p.m. before the fire started.
Surveillance video recorded the suspects looking into the store moments before the store caught fire. The suspects are wanted as "persons of interest," according to police.
The store remained closed on Friday. El Rey will be closed for at least two weeks and has temporarily displaced about 100 employees, according to Olivia Villarreal, one of the owners.
