Kloppenburg Defeats Prosser By 204 Votes In The Wisconsin State Supreme Court Race

Madison - On Wednesday, Director and General Counsel Kevin J. Kennedy with the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board confirmed that unofficially JoAnne F. Kloppenburg had won the election defeating David T. Prosser Jr. by more than several hundred votes in the Spring Election.
The final total was Kloppenburg 740,090 and Prosser with 739,886. Kloppenburg won by 204 votes and 43% of voter turnout.
Kennedy said a recount will most likely take place once the votes are officially certified and confirmed. The certification will take at least four days. Prosser has to request a recount by next week after the votes are certified, according to Kennedy.
More than 1.5 million people in Wisconsin voted, 1/3 third of registered voters or 1 of 3 voters cast their votes..
