Mexican Federal Warrants Issued Against Members Of Musical Groups Los Cadetes de Linares And Torrente

14 men, including members of two musical groups sought by Mexican federal governmment on criminal warrants alleging ties to criminal organizations, weapons charges and illicit activies

Mexico - This week, a Mexican federal judge issued arrest warrants for Hugo Dante Grajales Cantú, José Carlos Salinas Rodríguez and Rolando Ávila Muñoz members of two Mexican musical bands Los Cadetes de Linares and Torrente Musical, who allegedly were present or participated in a Holiday Mexican Party at Los Limoneros de Ahuatepec, in Morelos, on December 11, 2009. The party was sponsored by the Beltrán Leyva Drug Cartel, who SIEDO accused of being a criminal organization and associated with the late Arturo Beltrán Leyva, "Boss of Bosses," who was present at the party, and Édgar Valdez Villarreal, "La Barbie," and Sergio Villarreal, "El Grande."
Beltrán Leyva and 6 of his men were killed six days later in a luxury condo complex in Cuernavaca just South of Mexico City when 200 Mexican Navy Marines raided the building. The raid had been planned for two months and when the federal government confirmed Beltrán Leyva was present they executed the raid. One marine was wounded and another one was reported killed.
The Assistant Attorney General for Special Investigations and Organized Crime (Subprocuraduría de Investigación Especializada en Delincuencia Organizada) SEIDO filed weapons possession and criminal organization illicit activity charges against members of Los Cadetes de Linares and members of Torrente Musical.
The multiple arrest warrants were issued by a 1st District Penal Federal Judge of Nayarit. On Wednesday, SEIDO confirmed the following men, including members of the two musical groups are wanted by the Mexican federal government in the ongoing case, and were identified as:

1. Roberto Jaime Hernández (aka) “El Roberto"
2. Mario Alberto Vázquez Piñal (aka) “El Jarry"
3. Eduardo Alejandro Carballo Guillén (aka) “El Gallo” or “El Lalito"
4. Gerardo Leonel Gómez Guerra or Gerardo Lionel Gómez Guerra o Leonel Beltrán Ramírez (aka) “El Leo"
5. Alberto Juárez Cano (aka) “El Beto Juárez"
6. Nicéforo Nava Carbajal or Niséforo Nava Carbajal (aka) “El Nicéforo"
7. Marco Rogelio Robles Arias or Rogelio Robles Arias o Marco Aurelio García Guzmán o Rogelio Prado Arias o Marco Rogelio Romero Arias (aka) “El Suli” or “El Yeyo”
8. Antonio Ruiz González or Antonio Beltrán Araujo (aka) “El Antonio” or “Tony"
9. Atanasio Reyes Vizcarra o Ignacio Domínguez Corrales (aka) “Nacho”
10. Roberto Castillo Adame or José Alexander García Hidalgo (aka) “El Roberto"
11. Carlos Eduardo Martell Delgado (a) “El Carlitos"
12. Hugo Dante Grajales Cantú (del grupo musical Los Cadetes de Linares)
13. José Carlos Salinas Rodríguez (del grupo musical Torrente)
14. Rolando Ávila Muñoz (del grupo musical Torrente).

Members of Los Cadetes de Linares that were released from custody are, Ricardo Rosales Savall, Genaro Cruz Román, Gustavo Guerrero García, Guadalupe Tijerilla Peña, Jorge Luis Verastegui Lerma and Uzar Gerardo Pérez Valdez Cantú.
Members of Torrente Musical released from custody are, Jesús Muñoz Ibarra, Roberto Cifuentes Ledezma, José Francisco García Cortés, Jesús Escamilla Zavala and Mauricio Vitela Martínez.
Ramón Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte, also spent 80 days in jail in connection with the pending case, and were released. SEIDO and the Mexican Attorney's General Office said, if organized criminal illicit activities and evidence is found to further connect Ramón Ayala and members of his group to organize crime, they will press criminal charges. Ayala had been released from jail early for health issues.
